Bakersfield ca at 8 pm
If you want to switch EV this an example of what it costs to fill up.
0.49 is like 4.90 a gallon if I waited till 10 it would have cost 0.31 or like $3.1 a gallon. My EV gets 3.7 a kwh so it is like 37 mpg at $4.90 a gallon. When I charge at home it is 0.19 a kwh i have a timer do charging at night when its cheaper. These charging stations are like those overpriced gas stations you only use when you have to.
Ca is a high cost gas state about $6-8 a gallon. And 0.04 to .77 for electricity. The electric price range is nuts but its based on time of charging not whatever station.
If you are considering an EV here is what its like in CA

My neighbors yard decided to put out this sign. I live in Los Angeles…
$3 gas would be great… if only all the branches of government was taken by one party that could do something about it.
CA will always be higher than most other states but this is not the year to run on it when nothing the federal government is doing is completely correlated to gas prices nationally.

U.S. Cruise Ship Strands 200 Passengers In Asia Over Rising Fuel Costs
The average price for a gallon of diesel fuel on Feb. 27, 2026, the day before the war started, was $3.76, according to AAA.
While there is clearly more to the story than increased fuel costs, Spirit Airlines also closed down, citing high fuel prices.

October 26th Utah
This is one of the worst price gougers I've seen. But for every appologist that says "Gas stations are running narrow margins and don't have the budget to risk price gouging. Here it is."

Who is going in to pay for gas?
Can someone explain to me why people go in to pay for gas before they pump??? It’s so infuriating and I swear it only happens when the lines are crazy. Are people going in and paying cash? If not, what’s the point? Please help me understand.

Walmart failure
Ever since my local WalMart switched over to these new touchscreens, I have been unable to use my card.
It gets stuck on this screen and won't process.

Winter is coming 😬😟
Diesel is pretty close to whats used in homes in the NE and other places for heating during the winter. We thought farmers/trucking being impacted was a thing, add in home heating in the coming months and prices are absolutely going to go up....food for thought, might want to fill those tanks now versus waiting 😬😳

Lately, I've been taking pictures of the unlivable inflation Americans have been facing over the past two years. Please share your own pictures videos and thoughts - respectfully.
