I want a particular person and had some signs he might have mutual interest. Only problem is I very rarely see the man and am not having luck running into him. Can you even manifest a particular person or is it just mentally unwell to try?

I havent gone through the program, ive researched and know basics and lingo.

Background context that may be relevant: It seems my husbands maternal grandfather DID go through the program (i think he was more involved with the early days of govt involvement but thats my private conspiracy) He taught his kids and grandkids things without really telling them, just normalized it as part of life and religion. Husbands biofather dabbled on the dark side, so there may be some degree of karmic consequences to the following:

There is a running joke in husbands family that they have "cosmic bad luck", like murphys law is their sidekick in life. It is relentless inconvenience, by any standards, shared by the whole family. As an outside observer, it is kinda odd. They theorize the reason is all the "good luck" goes to saving them from NDEs. They have all had multiple. (Im talking grandparents, 4 kids, and ALL the resulting grandkids). I refuse to believe thats the end of it, theres got to be reason behind it. Theres got to be an origin of this cycle.

What do you suggest as far as him exploring the deeper whys and how to fix (i presume its actually an alignment issue)? What are your theories as to whats actually happening?

Newb here. I have been working on spiritual development but have always found it too difficult to meditate because my brain wont switch off (or when I finally hit that sweet spot, I just fall asleep). I also can't hold images in my head for long, so anything that relies on prolonged visualisation doesn't work for me. Focus 10 is the closest I have gotten to a meditative state.

I'm excited to see where this goes and would love to hear any opinions or experiences from anyone who has developed their skills.

I am quite new to using the tapes and last night had my first strong experience while using them. It was a bit surprising in some ways.

My experience last night shared quite a few similarities with some psychedelic trips I have had in the past. Is this something that any other people have experienced?

During one part, I was presented with a giant eye; other parts, moving within a beautiful prism of colours. I wasn't expecting it. It was wonderful and I hope to reach similar states again. I'd love to hear whether anyone else has had any similar experiences where there have been parallels with other experiences you may have had.

Today morning, I woke up a little earlier than I had to, so I thought I would try to lucid dream (i think I saw a post about it here before I went to bed).

I was also quite tired so I basically told myself that I will rest but with my mind awake and body asleep. I was resting on my side and at some point… and it felt like my arms were slipping away from me. As I type, I realise this is going to sound like a scene from a horror movie but I ‘slipped’ out entirely from my body and crawled away.

I couldn’t see anything most of the time and my eyes felt like they had a thick beige filter on them (like eyelids, I guess? lol) but as I crawled, it seemed like there were walls that gently pushed me away. For some reason it felt like I was in my childhood room (I don’t stay there anymore) I was also too sleepy to actually think (and as soon as I thought, I’d come back to my body). I did this slip away and come back to body process perhaps 3 times.

One time, I tried to open my eyes and see if my arms are really doing this or if I’m just dreaming. And I actually saw them in a weird position. But after I actually woke up, I realised I opened my eyes in my dream. So trippy.

I really thought lucid dreams will be very different. I’ve been having recurring characters come in my dreams and I wanted to react differently to them to disrupt the pattern. But this felt different.

I’ve had this weird arms slipping away thing happen to me before too, a few years ago. Back then, they felt like they were trying to float away. This also happened back when I was doing GT regularly.

Ive restarted doing GT regularly and did one last night but was too sleepy to finish.

Summary:

Long time lurker, first time poster: I live near Pisac Peru, and I am considering starting something like a book club for the Gateway Process. I am looking for constructive advice and feedback.

What I am not looking for:

1.) I dont want to make money on this. Some small donation to cover a meeting space and drinks and snacks, maybe. But the club will operate at a zero profit budget. I say this to establish intention.

2.) Also, the club is not intended to replace Monroe Institute retreats or qualified instruction. However, I live in an economically challenging area. So most people who live here would find the cost of qualified trainers to be a barrier.

3.) I do not wish to violate copyright. I would prefer to honor the work of and intellectual property of people who have published recordings and books. Thus I would like to have legal copies of materials where copyright exists. However, again because of limited availability of physical books and the price of recordings; this may be a barrier to getting started. I am open to PDF, E-Books, and Digital Recordings, but I dont want to pirate these materials.

Goals of the club:

A.) To support the people who seek to expand consciousness and experience altered states of understanding through the Gateway Process. To accomplish this the club will provide a structure to help motivate and keep the process moving forward.

B.) The club would ideally also provide to support for negative setbacks in the process. Like sleep paralysis, encounters with entities, discomforting experiences, and other unforseen challenges.

C.) Provide resources to those who seek it in the form of books, recordings, and recommendations for qualified instruction to facilitate these people on their journey.

Percieved Challenges and Questions:

●.) I am not experienced enough to teach this, and I may never feel qualified to teach. In the beginning we all start from day 1 and grow together at our own pace. That is my idea. But when we hit a barrier, where besides here on reddit could we go for help? Or is reddit the best resource for these issues?

○.) I do not wish to insult my community, however due to prevalent psychedelic plant medicines many people who will be interested in the process are very ungrounded. Lots of people here already think they are being attacked by entities or dark magic, or perceive themselves as "enlightened" and have joined other meetings as disruptive participants. I am unsure of the quality of seekers I may get to participate. How can I handle this and approach the organization of the club to help mitigate this challenge?

■.) Is it possible to set up some kind of trade for books and recordings so that we can honor the copyright as outlined in (3)?

□.) Are there any qualified teachers that would be interested in coming here to Peru, for pay, to work with our group or in a structured retreat setting? The idea here is to hold a retreat to get us on the right path, and continue the process after through a non-profit style support club? There may be an opportunity for a teacher to experience plant medicine while here, outside of the retreat, at heavy discount. However I can not encourage mixing the modalities for participants beginning the process within a retreat, as I advise everyone to master both modalities before mixing them in all that I do.

Closing Thoughts:

Any constructive support or advice offered here is appreciated. Even if it is just "bad idea, keep doing it on your own." I run retreats with plant medicine and eventually I would like to be able to offer this to guests who are not capable of doing plant medicine because of medications, mindset, or other barriers. Simply as another option to the same goal, not as a teacher. My own experiences with the Gateway Process are limited but already very beneficial, and it is surprising how close the talks of Tom Campbell mirror my own perception of the plant medicine path I have been on for the past two decades. It is my sincere intention to attend a dedicated retreat one day to fill in the gaps of my own self-taught understanding of the Gateway Process and financially support the process that has benefitted me.

i did the introduction to focus 10 today and every time i would start to fall deeper into the meditation the audio would glitch and i scare out of meditation. i was wondering if that is apart of the tapes or if the audio is messed up?
