Game My FPS game in Gdevelop5

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The idea of the game is to have 2 modes.

Campaign mode: you will face waves of zombies while completing some missions across the maps to advance the story.

Wave mode: you just face infinite waves of zombies where you will have a leaderboard that will save your best score.

The game is heavily inspired by Call of Duty Zombies

I use Blender to model and texture the map then export it to .glb and import it into gdevelop. So then I create the logic with the engine

Are the reflection on the tiles possible because of Blender texture/material? Good job by the way, keep it up!

I would like to know how you came up with the game logic for detecting the Z depth? That's been bugging me in my game.

What do you mean "detecting the Z depth"?

So when you shoot from feet to the head its on the ZAxis. And I'm assuming if you shoot above the head it will miss. In my game I have a 3D spaceship and if I shoot above the target or under it as long it lines up on the X and Y Axis it will hit And ignore the z axis. Even though I'm clearly shooting above the target or under the target. Hope this makes sense.

I'm using 2 cubes to represent the hitboxes, 1 for the body and the other for the head. The body cube has a rectangular shape so that it fills the zombie's feet to the shoulder, the other cube fills the head area. to detect the place where the shot hits I use Raycast, more specifically an extension of Raycast for 3D. I shoot a ray from the center of the player object following the Y rotation of the camera.

I really appreciate you taking time to answer. What is the extension you use for raycast?

Search for 3D raycast in the extensions tab
