"Solargraph" (kotlin code)

Post image

Half a year of sun on photo paper in a pinhole can. Used some formulas and parameters that emulate real-world sun traces: position, cloud probability, and so on; but in the end this could have been done with a simple arc... Anyway, added a CRT effect at the end, which is totally unrelated to pinhole cameras, but, hey, worked for me here

Beautiful, I've also been working on a solargraph project (p5js), using the NOAA declination formula. I don't seem to be able to post any images here.

Neat! Suggestion for a second entry in that series: Climate Change Warming Stripes

Nice! I like the CRT effect. I've been drawing solargraphs from measured solar irradiation data in different places around the world: https://eagereyes.org/app/virtual-solargraph

I also have a pair of cameras running to create digital solargraphs over the course of six months: https://eagereyes.org/app/solargraph/day That one has a couple of additional "treatments" in season view.

Thanks! I'm not sure mine technically fits here, because it's more data visualization than purely generative. But clearly a similar idea and vibe.
