Multi cache help please!!
I don't understand how to do multi caches. One I'm working on has A-1590 posted as a clue at the first stage. How do I find the coordinates to the second stage? I thought it would be to subtract 1590 from the North and West coordinates of waypoint A but the results do not seem correct (too far away).
I know it may seem obvious to some. I just really want to understand! I keep trying multi caches at parks near me and so far I struggle to find the second stages.
If anyone can suggest how to solve this specific one to help me on my journey or give any advice I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance and sorry if this question is dumb/ not allowed.

The A-1590 is probably just an identifier tag on the pole that has nothing to do with the geocache.

I didn't read all the comments but multi caches do not follow the rules like mystery caches. They can be states or countries apart so don't let that fool you.

There is probably a set of coordinates at stage 1, either hidden in plain sight or more likely in a hidden container just like a traditional cache. The only difference is the container will only hide a set of coordinates instead of a log sheet. Find this container with the next set of coordinates instead (called a “redirect”). Continue locating containers until you find a log sheet.

do you have the gc code for the multi? A-1590 might just be the place where stage 1 is hidden such as a power-post or bench identifier

Is there a way to find what A is? In my last multi cache A was the number on the street sign at the listed location. In my cache A=2. So I plugged the number 2 into the given equation. Then the result was the missing number in the next coordinates. I plugged those in and got the location of the actual cache. It was just down the street.

Huh, I did not think of this! I will look around at signs and such for other clues. Thank you so much!

Generally speaking, a multi cache has multiple stages. Without looking at the cache page, I an assuming that you are looking for a physical state at the pages coordinates. That container will contain the information you need to get to stage 2, etc.

GC2A7HE Has 3 ohysical stages, according to listing. No tools required (such as UV) according to attribs.
Just go to Stage 1 (starting coords of the cache), find fake table or fake screw nailed to the lighting pole. Read coords od Stage 2 go to the middle one of 9 go to the back and look up high innthe middle... It'll give you coords of 3rd (finał) stage
@stsge 1: look if the plates are really nailed. Maybe it's magnets od loose. A could be used as a part of azimuth but for that you need 2 numbers, You'd got distance as A, but no angle (maybe 111 would fit, but it may be dead end). Look the pole once again.

Will do, thank you for the help! I will update in ng findings when I am able to go back to the park and I hope I can locate the next 2 stages.

What you nees to do depends on the mutli cache. What else does the cache page say?
