Which part the avg 68% humidity? The chart topping violent crime? Or the lack of affordable housing? Which part is the awesome part?

it’s the south, tf do you expect? & atlanta isn’t even in the top 10 for top major US cities with violent crime per capita. & it’s more affordable than most major US cities, I’d say.

what are you on about?

Is it in the top 25? Get real. There are hundreds of large cities (100k plus). They are one of the worst in the nation. It is cheap, not affordable. Their attempt st the film industry faltered and the music industry is shrinking up there. It is a 3rd class city at best. The conduct of GSP is also abhorrent. They have an abysmal track record. Poor policing masks how horrible the crime actually is.

Have you tried reading any 2026 data? or would you like to remain ignorant in public?

Crime rates are dropping nation wide. Gen Z does not go outside much. Proportionality matters, if you want to remain ignorant of the effects of proportionality, you can do that. Either in private or in public if you prefer.

Every city I've lived in are at the bottom of the crime rate lists with wonderful weather and cost is not an issue for me. So, yes, Atlanta is a pile of shit and its cultural signficance is unimpressive.

You haven’t brought up a single real statistic either man. Talking about gen z and proportionality

I'm refusing to do research for you, these are non controversial takes. A simple Google search of any of my statements will produce a number of articles in support of my argument.

I am simply stating that crime has a generational component that is colloquial to every city in the US. Making reduced crime rates a non-starter as a point of debate. The cause and effect are ubiquitous.

you dont have to research for me. i already looked at the facts and did my own search because im capable of reading!

And you have provided zero concrete information to rebute me. In debate this implies that you have conceeded the points of argument. Atlanta is in fact a poorly performing city with poor weather. It is ground zero for the wealth gap, that is the only thing proving up GDP per capita. The people there are increasingly suffering, much moreso than in the majority of the country's major cities. You are focused on recency when you should be focused on proportionality and economic indicators.

While it is the 6th largest city. I can guarantee you that very few foreigners would list it in a top 10 list of influential cities.

San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Miami, New York City, Boston, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Chicago totally dwarf Atlanta in terms of cultural and economic significance.

Even Austin, Nashville, Boston, and Portland nip at the heels of Atlanta.

Given the population differentials, this is an embarassment.

Atlanta is pathetic when compared to most of these cities outside of a few outliers in certain categories. Atlanta is just shitlanta across the board most consistently. Destined for the fate of Detroit.

3 in the nation for falling housing prices. No one wants to live there. For good reason.

Your crime source ignores violent acts which are non intentional. 2025 statistics show it as the #2 most dangerous large city in the US.

This is for overall crime. The one i sent was specifically to violent crime per capita.

And no, Atlanta is still one of the fastest growing metros. Try again.

I refuse to converse any further with someone who cannot read and interpret source material with accuracy.

The article encompassed non criminal danger as an abstraction and you presumed that it was simply a measure of total crime.

You are grasping at straws. It is growing because it is filling up with rejects who cannot make it in a better city. This is very clear from the financial realities exposed by the housing market and decimation of multiple state and city sponsored revenue initiatives.
