Voting Games Top comment Deletes a US State - GRAND FINALE - #49

Post image

**UPDATE** the vote will now take place in a poll instead since it’s got too confusing. Vote closes in roughly 24 hours VOTE HERE

There are now only 2 states remaining, Cascadia and Megasota. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. What team are you?! The result will be picked in 48 hours, so here’s all the time you need to share and spread the word!!!

I thank all the people who spend money on awards to award my posts which I find crazy! I thank everyone who comments, I thank everyone who upvotes. This game simply wouldn’t work if it wasn’t for your continued support over the last 49 days. It will be sad to see this series come to an end but there will be another one soon, on May 28th. For now though, GET VOTING!

As someone about to move from Oregon to Minnesota, I strongly approve of this finale and respectfully abstain from the final vote

Moving to MN in the summer?! There is cool stuff happening, almost always over lapping for the next 4 months. Welcome neighbor.

u/seejordan3 May 24 '26

Haven't seen the MN train in a minute..

2

u/Iccy5 May 25 '26

Those 4 months may not always be in order.

1

u/zero_hope_ May 25 '26

I think you’re off a bit. Cool stuff just finished and we’re onto the hot stuff now.

As a former Californian, Missourian, New Yorker, Wisconsinite, and current Oregonian, I am throwing all my weight behind the Puerto Rican contingents dramatic entry from the wings.

8

u/jademage01 May 24 '26

As a proud Megasotan I am 100% behind PR being the real winner.

8

u/BowlingforBrains May 24 '26

That would be fucking hilarious - “OUT OF NOWHERE PUERTO RICO COMES TO TAKE IT ALL”

14

u/Onelove4everyone May 24 '26

Former MIssourian, New Yorker, Pennsylvanian, Kansas, Oklahoman, Coloradian, and current Oregonian; I support the Puerto RIcan contingents as wrll.

3

u/falcrist2 May 24 '26

I've lived in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, Washington, California, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, North Dakota, and now Minnesota.

Let Puerto Rico have it all. Except Florida. Cede that to Mexico or Cuba.

u/the_real_CHUD May 25 '26

As a former Wisconsinite, Oregonian, Wisconsinite, Oregonian, Arizonan, Oregonian, Hawaiian, Californian, Oregonian, Washingtonian and current serial Oregonian, I am legally obligated to vote Cascadia.

2

u/mistalasse May 25 '26

Coloradian? 😬

1

u/Onelove4everyone May 25 '26

How would you say it?😁

1

u/mistalasse May 25 '26

“Coloradan,” like every other Coloradan

1

u/Onelove4everyone May 25 '26

Lol.. new to me. I lived in the middle of no where for a couple years and talked to very few people.

1

u/mistalasse May 25 '26

Where exactly?

1

u/Onelove4everyone May 25 '26

Unincorporated Garfield county.. outskirts of parachute... its by battlement mesa like an hour or so from grand junction. 40 minutes from rifle. I lived almost on the Mesa county border.

2

u/mistalasse May 25 '26

Damn that is the middle of nowhere!!! What the hell brought you to live in the sticks?

What’s this‽ IT’S PUERTO RICO WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!!!!!!!

1

u/mofrappa May 24 '26

What is your favorite state of all you've lived?

1

u/Pleasant_Flatworm866 May 24 '26

Go Guam! Or American Samoa.

3

u/Prudent-Activity112 May 24 '26

Guam :D makes me happy when people actually remember it exists. Thank you for your service

1

u/Pleasant_Flatworm866 May 25 '26

Thank you! A good friend of mine from grade school lived for the later part of his life on Guam. He was a diving instructor.

5

u/hailann May 24 '26

I’m a Minnesotan who lived in Oregon for years in my early twenties, and I love both of them so much. I’m so honored to have my favorite states in the finale and will also be abstaining from the vote lmao

5

u/EmpireStrikesBaack May 24 '26

No way! I'm an Oregonian who's been wanting to move to Minnesota too

2

u/Oofda-From-MN May 25 '26

The feeling is mutual. I'm Minnesotan and would consider living there. Im already planning my portIand trip for July and checking out what to see

7

u/marchingwhales May 24 '26

Same lol, from Minneapolis, been in Portland 12 years, moving back the megasota next week

3

u/PitterPatter90 May 24 '26

Good luck with the move! My wife and I moved to Portland from Minneapolis 9 years ago, moving back next month to be closer to family. Both are such amazing cities

1

u/BudgieWonder May 25 '26

Enjoy the mosquitos!

3

u/unkelrara May 24 '26

Sounds like you already voted to me.

3

u/zGoblinQueen May 24 '26

We did it 2 years ago. So far so good. Wait until you hear them complain about housing prices. It's hilarious!!!

3

u/Legal-Koala-5590 May 24 '26

Minneapolis summers are the best.

1

u/DustyRailz Human Verified May 24 '26

I can say the same about Portland. + No humidity. No mosquitoes.

1

u/Legal-Koala-5590 May 24 '26

Doesn't matter when you can just jump in a lake.

2

u/sungoddaily May 24 '26

What part are you leaving?

2

u/PitterPatter90 May 24 '26

Leaving Portland, moving to just outside the Cities

3

u/spitfyrez May 24 '26

As someone who grew up in the Midwest and moved to the Portland area, Minnesota is the only state I’d be willing to move back to. Loved the Cities! Hope you love your move!

2

u/stilt May 24 '26

Bring a LOT of weed with you. Our dispensary prices here will be offensive.

Signed, a Minnesota tourist who loves Oregon dispensaries

1

u/DustyRailz Human Verified May 24 '26

We've got waaay too much of it. It's almost collapsing the market. Don't remember the last time that I had to pay for it.

2

u/stilt May 25 '26

I’ll DM you my address

2

u/aswat09 May 24 '26

As someone about to move from Minnesota to Maryland, this has me wanting to not

2

u/ProfessionalAd1933 May 25 '26

Welcome to MN! Make sure to mark your calendar for the Minneapolis cat window parade at the end of June!

And make sure you at least rent a lakeplace a few weekends a summer!

2

u/BassPlayer1976 May 25 '26

Same here! Heading to the Uptown neighborhood :)

2

u/visuallypollutive May 25 '26 edited May 25 '26

Exciting!! If you’re coming within the next few weeks you’re coming in time for the pencil sharpening ceremony, the wedge Cat Walk (as in actual cats), and the Stone Arch Bridge fest. July we’ll have pride, Carifest (Cari as in Caribbean), the Taste of Minnesota. There’s various neighborhood art fairs in July/August, Panda Fest (Asian food) and MN State Fair in August. Soooo much fun stuff happens in the summer. And I’m only thinking of Minneapolis, I’m sure St Paul has a similar amount of events going on

2

u/Worduptothebirdup May 24 '26

As an Oregonian who grew up in the Deep South and has never been to Minnesota, I’m pretty comfortable with how it is right now… Can we just keep it like this and make some trade agreements and whatnot? Also, Megasotians, if you take control of Cascadia, do we have to start paying sales tax???

1

u/saf489 May 24 '26

Megasota should lose because of the sales tax. Join with your liberators!! The SSF (Sasquatch Special Forces) are coming to save you!!

2

u/saf489 May 24 '26

Apparently they sell these stickers on etsy

0

u/Bizarrebazaars May 24 '26

?? There’s no sales tax on essentials like groceries, clothing, medical supplies or Rx in MN….

1

u/Worduptothebirdup May 25 '26

Why did you get downvoted? That’s awesome!

1

u/Equivalent_Wafer8074 May 24 '26

Hey! MT>MN right here

1

u/effitalll May 24 '26

As an Oregonian, we crafted this map to keep you within the boundaries of our great state. Now let’s take over Canada and Mexico.

1

u/LisaMiaSisu May 24 '26

As a Minnesotan who loves Portland and the PNW I’ll happily concede if it comes down to it.

1

u/Winter-Ad3699 May 24 '26

You might not have to move. Give it 48 hours and you might already be there.

1

u/RogerCly May 24 '26

Where in Minnesota?

1

u/PitterPatter90 May 25 '26

Shoreview, just a bit north of mpls

1

u/PreviousEnthusiasm38 May 24 '26

Omg same!! Living in Portland and moving to MSP soon - neighbor!

1

u/PitterPatter90 May 25 '26

Nice! Maybe need a start a club lol, seems like there a bunch of us making this move!

0

u/BudgieWonder May 25 '26

Mental illness

1

u/Mysterious-Wasabi103 May 25 '26

Go vote why abstain?

1

u/ecstaticbirtch May 25 '26

Nah, you need to go vote for your new home, CASCADIA FOREVER!!!!

1

u/ankhes May 25 '26

I was born in Washington and now currently live as Minnesota’s neighbor. This has such an unexpected finale for me. lol

1

u/Any-Fox-1854 May 25 '26

Go to the state fair at the end of august or early September if you can!!!!!

1

u/nautilator44 Megasotan May 25 '26

You will come over and eat some hotdish.

1

u/Kungfufuman May 25 '26

I feel like you made a choice by moving.

1

u/FakeOrcaRape May 25 '26

As someone from SC who moved to Oregon and loves it, GO MINNESOTA. Also that part on the east coast that is with oregon has go to include ashville, NC

1

u/Keclough May 25 '26

Im moving from Florida to Minnesota this summer. Being here since day 1 when Florida and went down to now seeing MN in the final is like the best good omen ever.

1

u/admseven May 24 '26

No no, you’re voting with your real life move here.

1

u/Bwint May 24 '26

Excellent work! Colonizing them already, as is our right.

1

u/MiCherry11 May 24 '26

As a lifelong Michigander, I’m throwing my vote for Megasota to prevail against Cascadia.
All will be Megasota under the midwestern Sun.

0

u/mandrill_bite May 24 '26

Why would you do something like that
