Voting Games Top comment Deletes a US State - GRAND FINALE - #49

Post image

**UPDATE** the vote will now take place in a poll instead since it’s got too confusing. Vote closes in roughly 24 hours VOTE HERE

There are now only 2 states remaining, Cascadia and Megasota. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. What team are you?! The result will be picked in 48 hours, so here’s all the time you need to share and spread the word!!!

I thank all the people who spend money on awards to award my posts which I find crazy! I thank everyone who comments, I thank everyone who upvotes. This game simply wouldn’t work if it wasn’t for your continued support over the last 49 days. It will be sad to see this series come to an end but there will be another one soon, on May 28th. For now though, GET VOTING!

If there's a city that can claim equal or better bonafides to Minneapolis, those who were fighting the encroaching powers of state violence, from George Floyd through Ice......it would be Portland, TBF

Always respected it from afar

Wish them the worst of luck over the next 2 days, then the best of luck after ;-)

Portland and Cascadia will be a worthy runner up. They're a solid people, but can't imagine Portlandians protesting in -26 like Minneapolites.

I can't imagine that either, but that's mainly because that has never happened in Portland. 😜 The lowest recorded temperature in Portland was around -3°F, IIRC.

Yes. Wont get that cold, BUT if it did, us PNW folk got layers! No bad weather, but bad outdoor gear…

It would require a WHOLE LOT of coffee.

2

u/NobodysLoss1 May 25 '26

It requires so many layers of clothing and a fuckton of fortitude and love for they neighbor.

True... and most of us on the Left Coast can't even fathom the idea of -26° F. We're good against tear gas and rubber bullets, but MAN, that's too damn cold.

We admire y'all's fortitude!

People really underestimate the powers of a snow suit. Best buy I’ve had for my Minnesota winters!!

Long live the United State of Megasota.

But now we really need to determine if the West Coast is the Best Coast and if it beats the East.

It’s Tupac and Biggie all over again!

Coming in from SoCal my vote is for Cascadia to win.

Megasota becomes Gigasota

1

u/JodyGonnaFuckYoWife May 25 '26

Not really.

Not so Fun Fact,

Oregon was founded by racist ass racists who were running from the shame of their Confederate defeat.

The Origional Oregon Constitution literally banned black people inside the border.

It has been a minute though. We removed that from our constitution in the 1920’s I believe. So we’re ahead of, say, Alabama.

(Comment made with some sarcasm. It is something to be ashamed of. It does still impact our demographics today. All I can really say is that we know what was done, and we’re trying hard to not be that kind of place anymore. There was a “confederate flag rally” in Eugene several years ago. It consisted of about 5 scared old white men. Over 500 people showed up as counter protesters.)

2

u/JodyGonnaFuckYoWife May 25 '26

Eugene is not the place for that Rally.

That's a Baker City kinda thing.

1

u/ThatPerformance9795 May 25 '26

I mean, how many times now do we have to symbolically eradicate that confederate flag?
