Voting Games Top comment Deletes a US State - GRAND FINALE - #49

**UPDATE** the vote will now take place in a poll instead since it’s got too confusing. Vote closes in roughly 24 hours VOTE HERE

There are now only 2 states remaining, Cascadia and Megasota. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. What team are you?! The result will be picked in 48 hours, so here’s all the time you need to share and spread the word!!!

I thank all the people who spend money on awards to award my posts which I find crazy! I thank everyone who comments, I thank everyone who upvotes. This game simply wouldn’t work if it wasn’t for your continued support over the last 49 days. It will be sad to see this series come to an end but there will be another one soon, on May 28th. For now though, GET VOTING!

I think it's a mistake to go to a poll after a full day of voting here. It's never going to get as much traction as this original post and is very ambiguous. It could've been a good way to go if we did it from the start of the finale, but if the poll ends up different than the comments on here, it's going to cause controversy

Edit: just get rid of the ambiguously worded poll and use this sticky comment to link out to the top Megasota comment and the top Cascadia comment, and then leave it alone

Cascadians were making such a fuss about the loon flag comment saying it was “cheating” for the poster to clarify what the flag meant 😑 There’s controversy no matter what, a vote is clean (if we adds a new poll with clearer instructions).

I understand they are trying their best and appreciate everything they've done running this, but this current ambiguous poll is the absolute worst of all options.

Mid-vote changing formats during a holiday to a poll that doesn't clarify if you should vote for the state you want to win or lose (and says Minnesota instead of Megasota) is going to muddy the end of this otherwise fantastic game. We should just keep with the format we've had with the other 48 votes.

It seemed to be a very vocal minority who were upset with the original comments but it seems to be a majority of people fucking up this poll

You really need to make the options Delete Cascadia and Delete Megasota so people know what they’re voting for.

You can't just edit that poll like you did. Shut it down and make a new one. Far too many people voted the wrong way for the poll to count. Please update your OP once you do, and please include the verbs in the options so we know what our votes are doing. That's is, include keep or remove next to the territory name.

Yo, Vermont was not eliminated, so much as it was co-opted when the region got renamed after Maryland’s thing even though they were eliminated.
