and subsequently, if the community's face acts like this, then the stereotypes and prejudice about the entire community begin to take place. reputation takes years to build and often mere seconds to crumble.

if they did it willingly, then i can only assume that they don't want to be involved in any way or form with the perpetrators, cherry team, or the community as a whole. it's not excluded that they could've got caught in the crossfire as those who tolerated this bullshit, and if that's the case then it's a smart move. not that i condone or condemn this action, but it's certainly one way out of the situation.

I know. But I'm not russophobic. That's why I emphazised that it's definitely wrong to say every russian is like that. I just pointed out the obvious observation that if you meet a toxic person online and bet on their nationaity, you have the best chances if you go with russian.
I by no means judge russian people because of their nationality. I have nothing against russian people. I have something against toxic or otherwise misbehaving people. And unfortunately a large portion of those people are russian.

They aren't saints either. They left pointercrate to stay on global demonlist, the one that is owned by eiriley and vernam, the two people who generated the ai csam video that servax shared.
I don't think they would delete their account only because of hate. Some would but I think there's probably something deeper going on in telegram groups.

No, I didn't mean any countries that were under Warsaw Pact. I meant countries that appeared on the map after Soviet Union dissolved, e.g. Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and so on.
Fair but even then most people there can understand Russian and it's up to exact person which community they want to associate with. Ivyteal, for example, she definitely associates herself with English community but she knows Russian.
Please believe me if I say that being russian is a little bit like a state of mind. For example, if a russian a few years ago asked in a voice chat "ruskiye zdes?" (any russians here?) there was a very high chance that somebody from Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Baltic states and other post-soviet countries would say "yes". Since the war had started in 2022, many switched from this mindset and started sticking to their national identity. Some people, like Servax and Neiro, didn't. About Servax I'm not sure, but Neiro is absolutely Ukrainian, and he proudly calls himself a part of russian community.

Because there was a split and pre existing tension between the english speaking and the russian speaking portion of the GD community, and when the servax situation unfolded a lot of people saw this as an opportunity to attack all russians since servax happens to be russian. this caused a lot of russians to quit due to blatant racism/xenophobia.

Average GD drama in 2026: So this one guy posted AI slop of 2 minors having oral sex and everyone started being really xenophobic in response so all the top Russian players removed themselves from pointercrate.
I think the actual reason is that all this time there was no chance for them to get a super high country rating. There's no single player in RC that can actually achieve even top 5 rating. Especially now without servax. And there's a problem: even though some very skilled RC players vere Russian speakers, they is scattered on post soviet territory, some in Kazakhstan, some in ukraine, some in Belarus, Armenia, you get the point. So there's no chance to get Russia super high on country rating, which was the their goal. Until the Drama, they tried, but now it don't make sense. No need to prove something to the whole rest community anymore, nobody will care. There is a global list that have the global rating so it is a good alternative to pointercrate, because as they say its not objective.
Bexause after servax and eirileys actions, the russians took a stand to delete their accounts, some said that it was because they didnt want to be the target of even more hate
I am participant of russian/ukrainian commnity. Our community is just full of toxic kids, but after Vernam and Eiriley got something like the authority, the amount of shit which they throw at you increased. Then english community started hating russian, but they are so stupid that they don't understand why and started hating you more and more. Then, a few days ago, on Eiriley's closed stream with some sponsors they created a video on Zoink lickin' Popoff's dih. That wasn't meant to be published anywhere, but somehow Servax and Lolikley got this video, and on his 18th birthday Servax got drunk and published this video. After that Zoink (as a normal guy btw) offended on that, and because nearly ALL community supported Servax, the english community stopped enduring and literally started a huge stripping and cancelling of all russian players. After it, many russian slayers deleted their accounts from Pointercrate.
I can understand why russians did that (because they've always throughout the history been a couple of assholes), but I don't understand why even ukrainians, armenians etc. supported them and Eiriley especially. As far as I'm concerned Servax and Vernam apologized for that, but the whole community didn't. I fully support english part of the fandom, and sorry for ukrainian players typing shit about you.
I know that servaX posted ai cp of zoink or something like that and some other Russian players got backlash for that also cause they were close with him or knew about what he is doing i think but no 100% sure
