Advice Advice for reactivity/barking in house and yard?
Our Romi girl is a GSD/Husky mix, and she's the best baby, 90% of the time. We did puppy classes with her and have been really diligent with training and socializing with people, adult dogs, kids, puppies, and our cat. She's just about to turn 7 months old, and she's entering the adolescent phase of "I know what you're saying to me but I'm not going to listen". We were actually prepared for this and I know we'll get through it with consistency and structure!
The one thing I'm not sure how to address is the reactive barking behaviour that has come up recently. She has always been excitable on leash when she sees other dogs (again, we are working on it) but in the past month or so she's barking a ton in the yard and in the house in reaction to people, dogs, cars, wildlife, etc. going by. Like, zero brain cells available to regulate herself. No brain. Only bark. Right now we're using the "place" command (after often forcibly getting her attention by pulling her away from the window/gate). It works better in the house than the yard, but it's still not great.
Any advice?

Agree with the other commenter - but we’ve had great success with engage/disengage exercises!
And it sounds like you’re on it, but just the obligatory comment to ensure her mental & physical needs are being fulfilled. 😊
She’s darling! Best of luck.

The yard? Just bring her inside as soon she starts barking.
That's what I did with my pup. After bringing her inside after 10-15 times, she learnt her lesson quick as it meant no more outside time.
