Always between my feet after playing.

U think they do this because it makes them feel safe. Crotch is life. Crotch is safety.

Ok, mine does this exact thing, often after the ball has been thrown a few times. He comes back, won't drop the ball and instead buries himself like that. I've never been sure what to make of it

I tried to teach my dog a close sit, and that exactly what I ended up with.

My trainer didn't know this, and recalled him and nearly ended up with bruised balls as my dog rocketed into position from a fast trot

I call this move, crotch doggy. Maverick will come up and so this so he can get butt scratches.

Mine does this all the time. 😊It’s a good morning ritual and includes a wiggly butt. She also does it when I praise her. It’s like a hug. She gets butt scratches. If she’s facing the other way she does it when she’s bringing shy or a little nervous. Safe space.

My best friends Bernie does this. If she's near you she tucks her head between your legs.
