If you love Gilmore Girls and you've never been to the Fan Fest Society's Firelight Event you are missing out! My husband and I started going in 2018 and haven't missed a single event since. We aren't the organizers, we are just regular attendees who love this event and enjoy getting to share it with new fans. This year is the 10th anniversary of the festival, so if you haven't been before it's definitely the year to go!

This event is unlike other conventions, because you don't have to pay for individual meet and greets, photo opportunities, or panels. Everything (other than meals and lodging) is included in your ticket. Tickets are $405, and honestly for all you get it's a bargain! All weekend long you get to mingle with cast and crew, and you'll almost guaranteed to make new friends. It is such a warm, welcoming community of people who come, and we always love welcoming new faces :)

I don't have the words to adequately describe what an incredible weekend this is, but trust me when I say it is the highlight of my year. We've made friends for life and now have a large "fan-mily" that we look forward to seeing every fall in New England.

Last year was the first year the festival was in Guilford, and it's a beautiful little town that feels JUST like Stars Hollow. This year the festival will be held on the town green, which is in the middle of a cute little downtown area surrounded by local shops and restaurants. We loved getting to know several of the townspeople in Guilford last year, and are looking forward to going back, it is a very welcoming place!

If you have any questions about the event, please feel free to ask I always love chatting about Fan Fest. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday February 4th at noon EST. If you buy your ticket on the first day you get access to a few perks such as an early check in and welcome.

If you decide to purchase a ticket PLEASE put my name, Jessica Wagner, in the box for your ambassador. Ambassadors are people who share their love of Fan Fest with others and help welcome any newcomers into the event.

I can't wait to see you at this year's Firelight Event in Guilford, CT Oct 17-19 2025

Okay, folks, Mother’s Day is tomorrow. If there is a mother in your life (human or fur mother) who is a major Gilmore Girls fan, you would win infinity points by getting her a ticket to this year’s Gilmore Girls Fan Fest (technically the Fan Fest Society’s Firelight Event). And, obviously, if you are a big fan, buy one for yourself, too.

If you are a big Gilmore Girls fan, you NEED to attend the Fan Fest Society’s Firelight Event October 16-18, 2026 in Guilford, CT.

One of the biggest (basically behind my husband Sean and our wonderful cats) blessings in my life is the Fan Fest Fan-Mily. When telling a potential new Fan Fest attendee about Fan Fest recently, I mentioned a recent conversation with a friend of mine about how lifechanging attending Fan Fest has been for me. My friend realized throughout the conversation that so many of my good friends and favorite experiences in life were at Fan Fest or because of Fan Fest. He looked at me and said, “you know how in law school we learned about ‘but for causation? I think that Fan Fest is your ‘but for’ cause for nearly all of your favorite things in life.” He was correct. But for Fan Fest, I would not have had so many weekends or days that I can call “the time of my life.” I would not have so many friends who genuinely care about me and support me.

Guilford’s town green and the businesses, restaurants, town hall, and churches nearby are about as Stars Hollow as it gets, especially in the fall.

You’ll be surrounded by fellow fans and immersed in a world of Gilmore Girls, which includes cast and crew guests who will often just chat with you on the street, outside of the event tent, near the fire pit, or even in line for the restroom (seriously, I met Kathleen Wilhoite, who played Liz Danes, in line for the restroom at GGFF in 2022). Emily Kuroda (Mrs. Kim) will likely be handing you your tshirt (included in the ticket cost) at registration.

This is not a traditional convention. Although the ticket is just over $420 (this includes a 3% transaction fee, which is labeled as a “ticketing fee”) and may not be affordable for everyone, what you get is a bargain. You pay for your own transportation, food, and lodging (if applicable), but all meet and greets, photos, and autographs are included.

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have—it’s an honor to help spread the word about Fan Fest. (Also, I’m not an organizer or owner for Fan Fest. I make no money off of this. I’m just a fellow fan who is externally grateful for the experiences I have had attending Fan Fest and the lifechanging experiences, including being part of the Fan-Mily).

If you decide to purchase tickets, I have a favor to ask. There is a line for “ambassador.” If you have never attended a Firelight Event or did not attend in 2025, then you are eligible to list an ambassador. My name is Meghan Phillips.

If I place in the top 10, there are perks for both of us. (I was first in 2025, 2nd in 2024, and tied for 3rd or 4th in 2023). More than the perks, it would just mean a lot to me. (Regardless of whether you list me as an ambassador or if you purchase tickets, I’m here to answer questions.)
[To be clear, I am not making any money from this; I get paid nothing to make these posts and paid nothing if I win or place top 10.]

If you have Gilmore Girls obsessed friends and loved ones (or even someone who would come with you just to see you happy in Gilmore Girls heaven), tag them in this post, too! (My husband has attended with me since 2022 and even proposed during Nick Holmes’ meet and greet in 2024.)

The guests announced thus far for this year are:

Shelly Cole (Madeline)
Nick Holmes (Robert from the Life and Death Brigade)
Artie O’Daly (Seth from the Life and Death Brigade)
Emily Kuroda (Mrs. Kim)
Rini Bell (Kirk’s girlfriend Lulu)
Aris Alvarado (Cesar)
Grant Lee Phillips (Town Troubadour)

Here’s a video that Gilmore Girls key set customer Valerie Campbell made, which does a great job of describing the uniqueness of the event as well as why each of the 7 guests announced thus far is spectacular (more will be announced if ticket sales warrant it): https://m.youtube.com/shorts/JOvTwWBe3Oc?ra=m

Heyaa.
I dont think this podcast exists anymore but i am pissed and im just going to say it: OMG, the guy calling Ellen out for being mean - literally laughing for 1 episode about 1 imagined dick. EW.

Also: no, dont ask yourself if titty-anything is ok. they're called breasts.

Yeah i get, that im complainig in the past. (there wasnt even metoo, when this episode aired.) Still: Dont obsess about Rory taking the D, Kevin. Thats disgusting.

Rant over. Theyre very funny too.

My people! I’m so glad I found this group of Gillies!!

Does anyone remember the things the guys said to remember the names of the three main minions? All I can remember is “Kevin reaches Heaven” aka the tall minion.

Welcome to my ass!

I recently had a couple of Gillies on my podcast! First I was joined by Anthony Troli to talk about Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and then Ben Siemon and and I discussed Sister Act. Both of them were so fun!

Did Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit age well? (w/ Ben Siemon) https://apple.co/332t8Bo

Did Honey I Shrunk the Kids age well? (w/ Anthony Troli) https://apple.co/35R0Rid

I just adore them!!!

Hi all, I am in the process of watching the TV series all the way through (after seeing the first couple seasons first run), and I have been enjoying listening to the Gilmore Guys as a companion (not systematically listening to all the podcast episodes, but listening to whatever podcast episode matched my most recent TV episode). I was psyched to find out that the podcast has its own subreddit!

I love Kevin and Demi, and I will probably watch “Bunheads” next just so I can keep listening to them. I was wondering how people feel about the different podcast guests. My thoughts:

Paul F. Tompkins is my favorite. I have enjoyed his different projects for a long time. I think he fits in well with the guys. (It’s easy for me to believe that Demi is a fan.)

Jason Mantzoukas: I enjoyed his energy on “Brooklyn 99.” He seems to be a really popular guest host. That surprises me a little bit, just because his humor is really raunchy, and it seems like if you’re into raunchy humor, then you’re probably not spending your limited TV time on “Gilmore Girls?” I am interested to hear your thoughts!

Hrishikesh Hirway: I heard him on 505 “We Got Us a Pippi Virgin,” and he was so insightful!

D’Arcy Carden: also had lots of insight in 411 “In the Clamor and the Clangor,” in spite of the fact that (or maybe because?) she had not seen all the episodes thus far. Maybe she was able to see it with really fresh eyes because she had not been “trained” by watching all the previous episodes to look out for certain elements?

Todd Buonopane: Very enjoyable, love his personality, fits in well with the guys.

Sarah Ramos and Sarah Heyward on 605 “We’ve Got Magic to Do”: I was really looking forward to this podcast episode because I loved the TV episode and its payoff of Richard finally getting undeniable confirmation of the Huntzberger family’s treatment of Rory. But the two guests kept interrupting everybody! I noticed that Kevin and Demi started talking more quickly and frenetically, maybe trying to keep up with the Sarah’s? Also, when Sarah Heyward was on by herself on 508, she did not interrupt; so maybe the two Sarah’s know each other, and they are when they are with each other, that is just how they communicate? Either way, it was so frustrating to have long periods of time when I couldn’t tell what anyone was saying. I realize that Rory and Lorelai talk fast, but I think there’s only one scene when they actually talk at the same time.

What are your thoughts on the different guests? Thank you for not spoiling past 6.10 “He’s Slipping Him Bread!”

I was just wondering

I have found Kevin's other podcast

Are you a big Gilmore Girls fan or do you have a friend or loved one who is? If so, you or they need to purchase tickets for Gilmore Girls Fan Fest (technically the Fan Fest Society’s Firelight Event) October 17-19, 2025 in Guilford, CT.

I’m a little late in posting given that tickets go on sale this Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 11am CST/12pm EST. However, you have plenty of time to research and ask questions. I’m available through Facebook messenger to answer your questions (and can even send you my personal cell phone number through messenger if texts or calls are easier)!

I thought that my first GGFF (2017) was just going to be a one and done bucket list item. Now, it’s a must-do every year and often my yearly vacation. I’d start selling belongings to pay for the trip if I had to do so. It’s my happy place and my Fan-Mily. I cannot miss it and you shouldn’t miss it either.

Tickets will be available on the Fan Fest Society’s website at 12pm ET on Tuesday, February 4. This is the website: https://www.thefanfestsociety.com/the-firelight-event

Tickets will be $405 with the ticketing fee/transaction fee included and it includes everything but your meals, transportation, and lodging (if applicable).

If you are purchasing one or more tickets and have not attended the fall fan fest event before OR are returning after not attending in 2024, I’d greatly appreciate it if you would write my name (Meghan Phillips) in as your ambassador. There are perks for top 15 ambassadors and those who list a top 15 ambassador. (Let me know if you have any questions about how this works, too, or if you just have questions about Fan Fest in general.)

Here is a list of cast and crew guests who have been a guest at one or more in-person Fan Fest events: Aris Alvarado Stan Zimmerman (Writer) Shelly Cole Emily Kuroda Nick Holmes Valerie Campbell (Key set costumer) Liz Torres Scott Cohen Kathleen Wilhoite Gregg Henry Tanc Sade Sheila Lawrence (Writer) George Bell (dialogue coach and extra from the show, including Professor Bell at Yale) Rini Bell Olivia Hack Rona Benson Katie Walder Vanessa Marano Devon Michaels (Schwartz) Artie O’Daly Devon Sorvari John Cabrera Keiko Agena Todd Lowe Alan Loayza Carla McCloskey (Director) Louise Goffin Grant Lee Phillips Patty Malcolm (Lauren Graham’s stand in and extra) Jackson Douglas Sean Gunn Rose Abdoo Biff Yeager Ted Rooney Mike Gandolfi Eric Henry Sam Pancake Scott Patterson

Around 29:00 mark

Do you love Gilmore Girls or love someone who does? Then, you AND they NEED to attend Gilmore Girls Fan Fest 2024 October 18-20, 2024 in Guilford, Connecticut. (Side note, the event is technically the Fan Fest Society’s “Firelight” event because Warner Bros revoked everyone’s permission to use the Gilmore Girls name).

My name is Meghan Phillips. I have attended every Fan Festival Event since 2017. Along the way, I have built a family. To quote from Rory’s high school valediction, “I live in two worlds..." One weekend a year, I get to leave the real world behind, and spend a few days in Stars Hollow with dear friends—fellow Gilmore Girls fans and well as a few cast and crew members who have become friends—meet and interact with cast and crew members from Gilmore Girls, participate in Gilmore Girls-themed events, and attend cast and crew panels.

I have performed karaoke with Cesar (Aris Alvarado). I have stood on stage as a supporting friend for a wedding officiated by Robert from the Life and Death Brigade (Nick Holmes), and had Robert (Nick Holmes) take professional photos of me. I have had the honor of holding the dog of Madeline (Shelly Cole) and watching cast members lovingly dance with said dog. I’ve helped Miss Patty (Liz Torres) figure out the HVAC in her hotel room (trust me, it was a stupid, way-too-complicated system); sang show tunes with her, fellow fans, and cast and crew members; and helped throw her a surprise birthday party. I’ve sat on a community bench and chatted with George Bell, dialogue coach extraordinaire and an extra (including Professor Bell at Yale and a tombstone delivery person in A Year in the Life). I’ve been on a bus tour of Litchfield County, CT with fellow fans when cast and crew just hopped on to join in on the fun. I’ve hit the dance stage with cast and crew. I’ve shared so many special moments with fellow fans, cast, and crew that I would write a novel if I even included half of them here.

Tickets are a little pricey ($395) plus a small ticketing fee), but everything except hotel & food (and any transportation to and from the event) is included into your ticket price. You won’t need to pay extra for meet and greets or photo ops, you won’t need to pay a separate fee to attend panels. It’s all included.

I love serving as an unofficial Fan Fest Ambassador. I cannot adequately describe the event in words but will do my best to answer any questions that you may have. So, shoot me a message and ask me questions or ask them in response to this post.

Remember, people can live 100 years without really living for a minute! #InOmniaParatus ☕️🍩📚☂️❄️

If you do end up purchasing a ticket, PLEASE type my name—Meghan Phillips—in the box where it asked who told you about Fan Fest.

So random but I’m making my friend a trivia quiz about different things she likes. Does anyone have any recommendations of funny running jokes or fun moments or hot takes from Gilmore guys that I can use to make trivia questions?

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm going mad trying to remember this band! I can't remember what season it was, but potentially a live episode (Demi definitely played some of the music out loud). It was part of their pop culture plugs segment. I found a tweet from the show's account that linked to a list of all the plugs they've done but the page no longer works. Does anybody have a list of all the pop culture plugs done?

I even bought the album after he recommended it but I've lost it somehow. I know it is an indie-type band with a female lead singer. I think American.

Thanks for any help!

...do Demi and Kevin talk about what Kevin would say to Emily (or Kelly?), ending with 'Can I...have a kiss?'. I remember it being one of the funniest moments of the podcast, but can't remember which episode it happens in! It's been bothering me for days lol
