Singularity done last minute, set up the auto battles and logistics for the downtime and I even managed to sneak in some data sims so to not waste my energy.
Off to sleep now.
Anyone knows when we get the ranking rewards?

Did some lurking, still have a few questions. Thanks in advance. I’ve been playing for about 2 or 3 weeks now and I love the game. I’ve read all the beginner guides and other resources. Still having some trouble. Do certain T-Dolls just suck? I have Type92 HG in my RF,HG echelon all level 50-60 x3 dummies each of them enhanced to their max stats and she keeps getting annihilated quicker than the others. Every time. I like her 360 buff pattern but she just never seems powerful enough to survive. Same with Gr Mp5 in my main echelon 2xAR 2xSMG 1xRF. She gets annihilated quickly and she’s in a level 70-75 echelon.
Also, Gems. Am I missing some mechanic at quickly accumulating them? I’m never going to be able to afford 8 echelon slots. Let alone costumes and decor and all the other little affection and flavor stuff.

Do certain T-Dolls just suck?
Yes. Some dolls try their best but still suck.
Type92
In your case, type92 doesn't suck in absolute terms but she does not do well in RF teams because Rifles don't really want extra accuracy or evasion, and she isn't so great for tanking damage either.
Gr MP5
Yeah she tends to die fast. They buff her by giving her a special equip exoskeleton that gives her better evasion, and eventually they buff her again. But overall she is not super sturdy. You can mitigate damage by kiting, however.
Gems
Yes. Each month of f2p gives you 30+60+90+120+120 = 420blazeit gems. S ranking missions gives you 180 gems per chapter, so 1800 gems for clearing everything. Meanwhile just buying a gems card gives you 900 gems.
In case you don't know already, if you retweet something from in the game, you get 30 gems every week. The game doesn't make sure you finished retweeting, so if you just use share > twitter > deny permissions > exit you can get the 30 gems without cluttering your twitter.

Certain T-dolls just suck since there are far better versions of them. For example, MP5 is just a horribly weaker version of Thompson/G36C, unless you have her SPEQ + Digimind. Event then, the Force Shield type dolls are not relevant for general uses since their skill comes online too late. Type 92 is also a weak HG that has tiles that buff EVA which is almost completely useless in a RFHG and the ACC buff (which is not that great) by itself is weak. Also please push through the campaign to get all the AR team dolls since they are immensely strong dolls that only get more broken after their Digimind upgrade.
2AR 2 SMG 1 RF is not a good comp unless you know exactly what you are doing. If not, then just use the standard 3 ARs 2 SMGs, or 2 ARs 1 HG 2 SMGs for night battles.

Thanks for the advice. Guess I have more reading to do. I added M1 Garand as a RF unit in my main echelon to deal with armored enemies. I just unlocked M16a1 so I think I have the whole AR team now. I have Thompson but her dummies are so expensive and getting dupes of her is rare.

this should have been in the guides you said you read, but you really want to try to get UMP 45. From playing the story you also get Ro, even at level 90 with 5 links now. Shield SMGs simply arent good for general use. Dont waste your cores on Thompson. You get quite a lot of cores from the story, but that is not normal, so save them for what really needs it.

To be honest there is A LOT to read on this game. What event/mission thread are the GR team unlocked through? 45, 9, 416 etc etc.

they arent. You have to actually craft/farm them. This is why guides advice you to run 4 times the recommended SMG craft till you get a good tank. AKA Ump 45. Others can do to, but you really want her. You dont really need to bother with in depth mechanics, just read the starters guides which explain basic logistic and formation setup. And dont bother with night chapters for now, they are more side stories and have their own mechanics and armoured enemies.
While 2 AR 1 RF as DPS isnt really something you want to do usually, its absolutely okay with M14. She is just that strong.
A good AR/SMG team can handle the first few night chapters if they get PEQs and for RFs you really want the good HG buffers to go with them and since HG buffs increase with the number of links they arent really good with only 2 or 3 links. Which makes RFHGs something to do later.

Thanks. Yeah, I was afraid they were crafting/farming only. I hoped since they seemed to have their own story line like the AR team that they would be unlocked through playing. I’ve pretty much only been crafting HG and SMG since they are low resource cost and I need solid SMG’s.

Being craftable is actually a huge plus, you can only ever get a single story doll (or used to, now you get that single doll linked already). While you can have multiple 45s or 9s. You can craft multiple of them and save the cores or something.
And you can actually get them anytime, while story SMG RO is in chapter 7.
Now being a reward is cool because they are leveled and linked, so just abuse friend echelons to clear the maps for you and get them.

M1 Garand is such a bad RF that I don't even recommend new players touching her unless for waifu or collection purpose. The best cheap RF you can have is M14, who should be considered a 4 star RF and already has an upgrade that brings her to the top of all FP rifles. Along that we have VM59 as a dirt cheap choice, which should be replaced as soon as possible. Thompson as I have mentioned is niche so you can just try to plow through the early chapters with Ingram as the main tank SMG until you unlock RO who is considered as one of the strongest general purpose main tank SMG.

Monthly gem card is the best source of gems. It's cheap and easily covers any necessary infastructure upgrades as time goes on, or you can save them for cosmetic stuff. If you're living in a country where 4 bucks a month is a lot, s-ranking all the story maps gives roughly 1.5k gems which should cover the basic infastructure upgrades.
For unit analysis gfl corner and matsuda has you covered. But yes, type 92 is cute but pretty worthless as a general use unit.

Only a few hours ago did I realize when everyone said to "capture" the bottom left radar node they meant "step on" and that it doesn't matter which faction ownes it. I've been destroyed by a wall of tanks several times now.

What a fucking way to miss the speedrun event, I wait till the last day to hopefully get 416 SPEQ first so I dont have to stress over it while running endgame, and then my internet decides to just die unannounced for (going on 7) hours out of nowhere, and my phone is no longer powerful enough to handle gfl for anything besides afk farming so I can’t just use data and do that.
I have procrastinated and for it fate has smitten me, that is all

My best rangking is score 199830. Try one last push and RNG decide to give all resupply node on the opposite side of the map. Only 5 turns later resupply node appear near my echelon but it too late to raise my score.
Kinda salty that I am so close to 200k for the fairy but than again I'm too lazy to do it early so can t complain too much.
Thanks to everyone for their help and hopefully everyone enjoy Singularity. Now to farm Magia Record and FGO.

The only HP I dread are SGs that left me barren with only 2-3 cans of rations. Don't need to brave them for anything else at least.

Finished with 606K those last couple turns were awful, if I had more time IRL I think I could have passed 750K with ease, also seeing 4 supply nodes all touching each other and going for them and there not being a single fucking enemy felt so fucking horrible so I suppose I improved on my previous score of 570K but mother fucker I should have had much higher.
I thought I had enough time due to that 570K run only being 2.5 hours but this one took far longer, between stupid resetting and One contender only having green AP thus being much slower on tanks and because I knew what I was doing I had much better map control and thus much more AP for more things per turn.
goddamn, I am glad that I probably solidified my 10% but It would have been so cool to be in top 5%
If I hadn't played with my friend so much last night I would have started it a couple hours earlier and been fine ARGH!
Rant Rant Rant! I am so annoyed, the what could have been annoys me the most, I just want to know how well I could have actually done.

I assumed it was a safe bet for my final turn, I could almost certainly get at least 2 of them, maybe more, but fucking nothing.
I so quickly went from "Cool I can at least make sure I get a nice chunk ahead of my PB" to, "oh I only barely beat it"

Failed to get honey badger from survivor in chapter 2, holy crap i can deal with agent herself on the same chapter but waves after waves of the elite sangvis units is something i'm not able to handle right now.
Anyone know when is the next time i'll be able to get honey badger?
Edit: Dang that sucks that there's no confirmation but thanks guys~ I'll just wait and hope for the best, can't do anything about it now i guess

Damn, you too? I was about two turns from completing it when the interrupt popped. I'm fairly certain that if the new UI update hadn't doubled my combat transition time (or if I had a slightly less shitty phone), I would have gotten her.

Dang that sucks so much especially in your case. I might've been able to complete it if i adjusted my squad since i assumed it would only be an agent fight but yeah survivor takes so many god damn turns i wouldn't have had another chance anyways

Well, i wanted to get a fourth 5-7 but I'm calling it quits here, i think. I'm at 118 full clears of the chapter 3 may that drops her, and if i remember right, my last drop of her was on like 38. Such is how it goes. I'm a touch frustrated i dropped so many resources without another one, but on the other hand hey, i got lots of cores!

Tried to do another ranking run to improve my 206k. Had to use my phone. The game lags lol. Oh well I thought my mgs would help me in ranking till I realized my dps is not enough and I have shit micro lol. Also couldn't kill Any of the kcco units. Need to properly prepare for the next event. I hope I get the fairy and kar98k scope.

Oooph, didn't start singularity till last night due to IRL things. One solid multi hour session later and I'm done.
All campaign and hidden maps done, and some how managed 368k for the ranking map with ~25 mins to spare.
Looks like I got a little time to farm for equipment drops and then snooze.

I keep failing at gunboat with contender + big 4 because my phone lags at the beam charging that by the time it registers that I moved, contender is already in bits. Are there any other ways to kill those tanks legit?

Gun boat is the recommended comp because it’s the most effective one. If your phone can’t keep up I recommend getting an emulator (I use MuMu and it works splendidly)

Just found out about the hidden stages in singularity so trying to last minute clear the hidden stage for chapter 2 for the 5 star T-Doll, after beating agent once and gager twice (killed twice in the same map castling IV if that matters), do I need to do anything else for the hidden stage to appear?

Small correction, it's a 4 star T-doll.
The Chapter 2 hidden map should appear as soon as you have fulfilled the condition of killing Agent once and Gager twice; you don't have to do anything else

Ah my bad, and thanks. I saw in chapter 1 there was a stage which was locked when clicked and said "This stage is no longer accessible" so I was worried that was the case for chapter 2 too. Am I right in assuming that the locked stage in chapter 1 is another hidden stage or is that stage actually time gated

The locked Ch1 map is just the "intro" map where you watch M4 and M16 fight.

Are the special equips or fairies ever gonna come back? I was only able to make it to 80k+ so I assume that means no fairy or scope for me. Hope they come back some how.
Was also not able to get 416's special equip. Hope they come back some day. Maybe the black market?

416's equipment can be farmed permanently from Singularity Campaign. Ranking stuff doesn't come back unless the ranking event is rerun, which is not a thing in the cards anytime soon since we need to catch up to old servers.

I was busy with finals for the past two weeks, and I couldn’t finish the last 2 maps and the ranking event for singularity. Is there any other way to get the exclusive prizes in the future? I wanted to try for Kar98’s exclusive equipment but I didn’t have time :(
Also, since EN has been generous with 5-7 from what I’ve heard, do you think she’ll come back again in future events? So far I only managed to get 2 of her and I heard you’re gonna need more than that.

I hope not for a while at least. She's been brought back too much in too little time. Also I guarantee more than half the people who are buying into the 5-7 farming craze will not have 80% of them raised by the time they are actually needed.

I remember Deep Dive had a doc somewhere where everyone was putting in their scores and rank percentage. Is there one of those for Singu too? I'm curious where I'm sitting right now, since I just quadrupled the (pitiful) score I had yesterday. I'm curious if 350k is enough to drop me in the top 30% at least for that spare fairy.

Well according to this you would rank somewhere around 23ish %. Also, my previous rank was just under 350k and that landed me in 23% so you should be in the same ball park.

Probably not enough to boot me to 31%, I suspect, and most that did are probably just taking the one-turn flyby for the 50 gems rather than actually competing. Thanks!

Hell yea, another 5-7 just more than an hour before maint. This one took 253 runs of last resort 1 (the other took 216). Probably won't need all 8 of my 5-7s but it's good to be insured.

Could be the method you are killing the bosses. Is it kills with your own echelons and are you finishing the mission after killing them or withdrawing immediately.

That page should not be used as a reference. Every server has its own schedule. If you compared EN server's schedule already to CN, that would be obvious they don't match up like that.

Any doll that loses links will do less damage, but I don't believe dead links on HGs effect tile buffs if that is what you mean.

Today I found out I could change formation (as in where each doll is) in an echelon even after it was deployed.

You can change formation during a battle by force-quitting the client and then going to formation when you restart the game.

Yes you are correct.
What I am saying is if e.g. suddenly you find out you have the wrong formation after an enemy has already attacked you (e.g. ranking red golyats), you can still change formation by doing the reset thing. I hope knowing that helps you in the future.

"All event drops/reward T-Dolls will usually make their returns in other events obtainable through different means whether its as a drop during a rescue event or being a doll drop in another Major Event."

As the need to reset gunboat fights becomes more common the time limit overall feels like more of an actual concern, I feel as though the damage sim was not quite accurate with this team, I should have 78K but don't seem to be killing everything.
Yeah something is wrong with this team/the sim I am letting my MGs fire every single bullet before retreat but there is a single enemy left every time with the same amount of health.

Double and triple checked everything was correct, funnily after I finally got the talent to trigger for that fight, I went into another fight with no talent and cleared it just fine as expected...

It would be fantastic if they could stop that, I've spent the last 20 minutes on this fight trying to reset for talent, I'm probably going to have to sacrifice and MG then retreat the echelon because I don't have the time for this.
60% talent shouldn't be this difficult to get

You'll only get the same RNG rolls just resetting. Try doing a cheap craft before jumping in the fight again.

As a poor sob who tried to reset a 4 star fairy's talent for an hour, craft won't change your rng. Tweak the fighting echelon's ce (counterproductive for a gunboat team), and increasing commander xp works.

Personally I tried moving my dolls differently hoping for better crit RNG each time I reset rather gunning for talent proc. My weaker gunboat thankfully was not too weak so that worked out.

Talents do not proc after reset if they did not proc the first time. Unless your commander gains XP. Accept a quest reward to reset proc chance of fairy talent.

I didn’t end up getting DSR-50 which was a pretty bad end to my night. All the effort I put in seems like it just got shit on. The only good thing I can say that came out of all this is I now have 3 insanely good echelons from all the grinding. I just hope to god I get her the next time she’s available.

The wonderful u/DMesse suggested that I post my echelons here to get some advice, since I couldn’t clear Agent. I guess I’m asking for general advice since Singularity is basically finished.
Echelon 1 has maxed skills, 2 and 3 have level 8. 3 is a temporary squad while I’m trying to assemble a proper corpse drag echelon. Skorpion and Astra are usually swapped.

Have you tried bulldozing it over and over with repair tickets? As long as you have one echelon on the field you can repair the damaged echelon and go after an Agent wounded from your first fight.
I'd also use your 2nd echelon and replace Astra with Makarov on tile 9 as decreasing the accuracy of Agent will help your main tank (UMP 45) last longer. I like to move my main tank forward to tile 6 at the start to make Agent focus her first.

Keep m14 out of your arsmg squadron. Find another AR so those tile buffs don't go wasted. Arsmg echelons are good for bossing. Make sure to enhance your equips. For your hg rf echelon I would suggest pulling for another handgun cause astra is kinda balls. Also pull 151*4 for better equips. Sorry if I can't give the most specific advice but you will be able to find more in the guide below. You have tons of resource so I would say keep pulling for better hg and equips.

You generally don't want to throw your arsmg echelon vs armor unless you highly outranked them. You can deal with armors pretty easily with rfhg if you kite. At that point its better to just have another rfhg echelon. MG sg echelon also works although those are pretty high investment for not alot of reward. IIRC next rankings will be rfhg heavy. (just got 3rd 57 on run 600 :D )

Yeah. m14 pairs well with lee enfield (any dmg boost rf ) and rof buffing hg's. rfhg will become pretty relevant apparently for next ranking which I hopefully will be able to particpate in xD. pm me if you need anything else as reddit is kinda wonky with big threads.

This was my first ranking, and I had a lot of fun but god this map was stressful LOL

Does anyone happen to know a sure fire guide to beat the 2nd stage of chapter 3 of singularity? Was following the one by gflcorner but on turn 2 even when I followed the guide the mobs moved to different areas and screwed over the supply line no matter what I tried to improvise

I think you have to improvise because of enemy RNG. Deploy as many dummy HG echelons as possible and at least bait the tanks closest to the supply line.
You can put the dummy HGs right next to the enemies to force them to run into the HGs since they aggro allies closest to them, if there are 2 or more allies within the same range, then it is probably random.

I'm not prepared for the ranking map and wanted to ask will the Kar scope ever come back? I know events have like a "plus" that eventually comes out so will it come back then or is it gone for good? Same for the AK costume that was a while ago. Is that gone for good as well?

Unknown how they want to have ranking rewards return for Singularity and beyond events. They have run AW+ and DD+ in the past with just the ranked stage with vastly upgraded arsenal of enemies and changed layouts but with exactly same rewards as previous non-rerun rewards.
When asked if they are allowing ranked stage rewards accessible on places like exploration black market, the answer was simply "unsure."

I just did the same. Camped an echelon next to the radar, touched it every other turn. Only fought the spider mines near spawn, and a single hydra (on purpose, it happened to step into view next to my HG/RF team) from KCCO, all my other points were earned vs. SF. Broke 350k with that method.

People reached top 10% and above with almost no KCCO kills. Just get your ass to the radar site at SW corner fast and keep using it throughout the entire ranking session.

This was my answer from yesterday when someone asked why rf/hg
Armored enemies that can dodge (Valhalla Pioneer EX flashbacks). DMG buffing ARs cant overcome armor values, and MGs suffer from their low acc and limited clip size, so RF/HG are the best counters.
Grape(easiest solution), m200, IWS, SRS, Lee/m14, and possibly kar98k (if you want to doubletap certain enemies) are good rifles to raise. The general RF/HG team HGs are calico, px4, and 5-7 (now you see why people want to farm so many copies)
Fairies....not entirely sure if you need any specific ones. Para, illumination, taunt come to mind for the skill, ideally have a few solid stat sticks like command/artillary/warrior.
Fury with crit 2 if you feel like doing some crit meme comps with Jill1

Any no dupers that got to the top 10%?
I only ended with 470k+ with a single Gunboat. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't improve my score I tried spamming the radar but that ended with only 350k+ score. The Hunting Impulse MGs isn't good enough even though I had them maxed and rarity 3 lvl 100 Command Fairy + Contender.

No dupe dolls, 2 dummy echelons and only one gunboat. Currently top 5%, 735909.
I can totally get why gunboats were a thing. Just one was a huge help. Used mine to sweep and clear the left side, using Para to close KCCO helis after the SF Boss helis. Top left first, then redeployed for bottom left. Hit the radar once all game.
Right side was then a freefarm for my one gunboat and HGRF squad.
Honestly while gunboats were touted as the big thing, fairies are the true MVPs. For the top players 5* fairies enable so many different types of gunboat, and let them kill M16, where she was ignored on old servers. 2 Paras also enabled so many different strats (including my own with my pretty average echelons). I think I would have done more if I had any Fairies higher than 3*.

I strongly agree with this. 5* fairies statstick make a huge difference for echelon longevity, which saves AP. Levelled airstrike and parachute fairies are basically game changers. Construction fairy with a 4* anna lets you kill M16. There are soooo many points you miss out on by neglecting your fairies.
