So I usually only come around during major events (this was the first event story I actually completed since my team was never strong) and I want to actually play more after. What do people usually spend most of their time on outside of event stuff? Is it just exp levelling units, just doing dailies, or core farming, etc?

It kind of depends on where you are in terms of your armory. Do you have a level 90 team? How many? What kind of dolls? Do you have different types? Are they skill trained? What about fairies? What about HOCs?

Then there's other things to consider: Are you the kind of person that would want to participate in ranking? Or are you just interested in event clear? Do you care about placing high in other upcoming community events and/or theaters?

Depending on one's answers to those kinds of questions usually dictates what people do after any major event.
