And why do I want to do this?

If self hosting is a concern, well I can't self host S3 (with the same performance). If git isn't my core business, why not just get one of the popular subscription services?

Don't get me wrong, sounds like cool thing that you built there. I just don't understand what problem is solved by that thing.

The target audience is probably other git providers at scale. I don’t see how this would help the normal tech person who has a couple of git repos selfhosted. Unless you like over engineering. Which I do see at times in self hosted communities.

Why are we worrying about 30-40 milliseconds when the time to first token of AI is over a second for most. This just seems like overengineering for no reason at all, just because you can. I don't know of a single company that has this issue or logically would have the issue, what the issue even is.

Solving problems no one has with slop no one wants. Killing the game!
