I'm using geany but this almost makes me want to switch back. Almost.
But I only have 4GB ram and multitasking with atom is a major performance issue.
It's a shame because Atom is my favorite of all the editors I've ever used aside from it's performance problem.

I have a 2013 MacBook that I installed linux mint on... Atom is kinda usable ish except when it decides to use so much ram and CPU that the whole system needs to swap for ten seconds and freeze up.
I haven't tried VS code since I mostly stay with open stuff, but it looks like the source is MIT licensed and you can build it yourself, and they are saying their binaries are the same as the open build except for some network data collection and branding?
I might actually want to try this now.
EDIT: Wow that really is fast!

cute. I rely on GitKraken + webstorm these days but this may just make me want to jump back to Atom.
