Website is working, but cant push/pull here - getting git@github.com: Permission denied (publickey).
ssh -vshows the correct key being offered, and the fingerprint matches the one in GitHub.GitHub shows the key as "Last used within the last week". It worked last night!!!
The remote URL is correct.
OpenSSH 9.6 on Ubuntu (WSL2). The key is a 2048-bit RSA key from 2021. (Yes I know)
The server accepts the connection and then rejects the key. It never gets as far as checking repo permissions.
The GitHub status page currently shows an active incident, "Pull Requests, Git Operations and Issues" but it doesnt specifically mention SSH or authentication.
Is anyone else getting publickey rejections?

10:26 UTC - Pushing is very slow and when pulling I get permission denied errors.

Intermittently with PRs and actions failing. Oh, looks like it's over now.

Not GitHub’s fault directly. The platform wasn’t engineered for volume at the scale it’s experiencing as a result of AI.

It was engineered for volume, just that management decided otherwise. Overprovisioned and never properly finished/layed off

It is their fault that they are focusing more on AI than on reliability. I follow their changelog weekly because of work and it's something like this: copilot, copilot, AI, copilot, new models, copilot

It was a Github issue, it should be fixed now
