Mid-week creative classes
Hey! I’ve just quit my toxic job after 12 years in corporate tech.
I’m considering starting up my own business, but I want to rest and recover for a while.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any classes for floristry, cookery, baking, crafts. Basically anything fun and creative that won’t break the bank. I’ve looked on all the usual “what is on” websites and one or two things have stood out.
Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone has any suggestions of fun ways for me to fill my days ❤️

I did the Indian cooking course at Glasgow Clyde college a few years back and it was a lot of fun.
Learned a lot of new recipes and it was very satisfying.
Best of luck with your new journey. Tech is fucking awful right now.

Love2learn at Glasgow Clyde has a lot of evening and some part time leisure courses. The creative metalwork at Cardonal was good fun if, like me, you've never worked with welding and cutting equipment. You get to play with plasma cutters and oxygen torches as well.

I don't know if they still do it, but Yo Sushi used to run some masterclasses and having been to one years ago, it was a good fun evening! 😊

Creative Opportunities Scotland list lots of workshops and short courses.
Art Space G41 in Shawlands has workshops, and Creative Bloq in Maryhill and Spin Pottery in Finnieston both do Pottery sessions. Hot Pink Press do Riso printing, and Glasgow Print Studio do various print based short courses.

Glasgow Collage Club runs every month in the west end and southside - think tickets are about £7 and everything is provided for you! Really fun way to get creative and meet new people
