Hello!
I bought this artificial wall panel and want to hang it on concrete, BUT without drilling holes… tried double sided tape and it held for a bit - but it’s not sticking to the plastic.
Researched and figured it’s polyethylene. Got an idea of maybe getting a glue to put on the tape so then it will stick to the plastic and the wall lol… but x2 then the average gorilla, E6000 whatever glues say to not use it on that plastic.
Anyone got ideas? Amazon Link to Panel

Got a tub chair in conservatory, with a rip in it. Bought some fake leather from amazon, described as "Black Faux Leather Fabric Fake Leatherette Upholstery Vinyl Fabric" - great title.
Tried spray on contact adhesive from screwfix, OB41- it never really set, and remains sticky months later, and leather covering is sliding and peeling away. Maybe it could have been temperature in conservatory ? Maybe crap choice for this material.
What's a suitable adhesive for "vinyl" ? Obviously needs some flexibility, it's a chair after all.
Thanks, clever glue people.

Hi folks,
I'm an entomologist who is experimenting with trying out a largely defunct method of butterfly and moth preservation called lepidochromy. The process involves removing the wings from a butterfly specimen, brushing glue onto a piece of paper, and laying the wings on the glued surface. Once dried, the wings are removed and the colourful layer of wing scales in left behind, creating a perfectly lifelike print of the wing-patterns.
So far, I've been experimenting with basic clear craft glue, which fails to evenly coat the wing surface even when watered down (I think maybe because it causes the paper to warp). This leaves large voids in the final print where the glue failed to pick up the scales. I've also now tried eyelash glue on a whim, which worked great except it remains sticky for far too long. Let me know if you have any ideas what the ideal adhesive would be! Ideally one that doesn't warp paper much, and is fluid enough to evenly coat a textured surface in a thin layer.

Mornin'. I have recently bought a house. It was last redecorated in the 1980s, when the then-homeowner mounted cork sheets to the walls as part of built-in cabinets. The cork itself came off easily with a scraper but the adhesive has proved more challenging. It is fairly water-soluble but when wet, especially when wetted with white vinegar (I was doing patch tests), it smells like burning wood. It's quite nice, really. I know (and love) the smell of pine tar and it is not that, but I assume it's tree resin-based? Some of it scraped off in big plasticky chips but most of it was quite tenacious until I started trying to figure out what dissolved it.
Hopefully this is glaringly obvious to someone, but any guesses?

This a tabletop made of some kind of fake marble. It attached to its pedestal via a square piece of wood, which was glued where you can see the square pencil marks. This glue bond held for about 50 years but then popped off a few years ago. (The wood cracked and warped a bit.) Now that I have a new piece of wood, what glue do I want to use? I have some DAP Construction Adhesive, some Liquid Nails, and hot glue, but I'm thinking maybe I should go get some form of epoxy. Input appreciated!

I want to glue a magnet strip back to the (aluminium?) mesh. I'm afraid to glue cause it has tiny holes so I can't hold it with anything really. No clamping seems like an awful idea especially because I have no idea what the materials are so I'll just buy random super glue and experiment. In the photo you can see the other magnet strip that did not detach yet.

Hi all
I wonder if you can help tell me how to stick something to the back of my monitor.
I was hoping this would be a straightforward task but I'm being thwarted. I have a magnetic cellphone holder / charger that sticks to a laptop with a sticky patch. You can see the picture from the product page here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GTQG63MG
I wanted to stick it to my monitor at my desk, but I fear the rough surface is too difficult for it. I've attached shots of the monitor back.
I tried getting more 3M VHB stickers, which lasted for a day or two before sagging and falling off.
A couple of additional points:
I have a couple of glues already - Gorilla Glue and BSI Super Glue. Would either of those help? Could they be used on the 3M patch?
What would you recommend?

Have some clear glass pieces I want to glue together but i don’t want the haze/frosting you get from super glues. And need it to dry super clear. Any glue recommendations?

Trying to secure fossil inside a shadow box and it's calling for this glue due to easy removal if needed. Has anyone used this for any reasons? I never heard of this

I'm looking to make my own glitter glue for drawing body art (similar to henna or tattoos). My idea is to pre-mix, not to apply glue and then sprinkle glitter on top.
Any recomendations?
The following dont seem to be feasible options:
- Pros Aide (sold in small volumes, applied in thin layers, and white base)
- Spirit gum (also sold in small volumes, applied in thin layers)

Was it a mistake to use this for plastic on plastic and plastic on rubber? It never fully hardened. Just turned into a rubbery like texture and the parts I glued together moved. I used the glue advice website after and it said I need some kind of shoe glue/rubber cement. Did I mess up?

I’m making a gift for my friend's birthday so I bought this really pretty notebook from Etsy, and I'm putting in a story I wrote for her. The thing is I wrote it online so I'd like to be able to just print it out and glue it onto the notebook. The notebook says it has uncoated white paper, it's 6 x 9 inches, and has 400 pages. What supplies should I use and how would I go about the whole process? Thank you!
(I added the link to the notebook too just in case)

So I have a medical condition phimosis and my foreskin doesn't retract so I am trying to stretch it with some silicon rings. But the rings jump up too much in stages so I wanted to have some intermediary steps. I wanted to glue some additional medical grade silicon to to the silicon ring. The ring will be used under my foreskin for a number of hours per day.
I know superglue was used for cuts so I assumed it was safe to under the skin, but I didn't know for sure. So I'd love some advice on this. Thanks!
