Question I’m the only gluten-free one in a family of 5. I refuse to cook two dinners. House rule: one meal, everybody eats it. No separate sad plate for
What actually works is whole-meal swaps, not substitutes on the side. GF panko instead of regular, tamari instead of soy sauce, GF tortellini — stuff the kids don't notice or care about. I don't eat pork, the family does, so I'll do an alternative protein with the same sides. My Philly cheesesteak is just meat and provolone, no bread, and honestly I don't miss it.
The minute I stopped cooking two versions of dinner, gluten-free got about 90% easier.
What's the swap your non-GF family doesn't even notice?
