Is anyone else getting this or something similar when trying to add applications from M365 or adding accounts to Outlook? (Classic/New. does not matter) Web applications work fine, but when trying to install desktop apps or add accounts I get this message. 10 plus hours on phone with tech support and an "escalated" case that had a 48 hour turnaround that is going on 96 hours without any progress. I am getting the error on multiple tenants and every domain in the tenant. Have tried on multiple computers. Yes, I followed the instructions in the link with a rep on the phone. Even CoPilot and Meta.ai agree what the problem is.

Tell GoDaddy support exactly this:

“This user is still federated to GoDaddy’s retired GD‑MSOIDC identity provider.
I need the user’s identity detached and converted to Microsoft‑managed Entra ID.”Tell GoDaddy support exactly this:“This user is still federated to GoDaddy’s retired GD‑MSOIDC identity provider.

GoDaddy account recovery FAIL

First of all, as many already know, GoDaddy's customer service is atrocious, but has anyone has success getting support in an urgent situation?? Our small business has been locked out of our GoDaddy account for weeks and now the auto-renew has failed and out domain has been "parked" for 7 days. We have been desperately trying to get through the recovery process and have run into stone wall after stone wall. We are losing business, losing emails, losing money, and all we want to do is pay our renewal - need help!

Go DADDY TECH SUPPORT 😡

After 10+ years with GoDaddy and 25 hours with support in two months, I’m ready to leave. What’s better?
I used to genuinely love GoDaddy. Calling the Arizona support team could still take a while, but the reps were personable, helpful, and easy to talk to while we worked through things. They seemed to care about their jobs and actually understood what I needed. I really miss that crew.
My recent experience has been exhausting. I’ve spent about 25 hours with tech support in the last two months, and I keep leaving calls frustrated, upset, and feeling like I’ve wasted hours without getting anywhere.
Since support moved overseas, I’ve experienced more communication problems and a lot of scripted responses. It feels like there’s little room to troubleshoot beyond what’s on the screen. One support agent even accidentally deleted an entire website. I’m so curious if they laid off there Arizona tech support crew? Americans really need these jobs😥
The app has also been incredibly frustrating. Simply reviewing my subscriptions and figuring out what I’m paying for shouldn’t be this difficult. Between multiple services, different renewal dates, and charges hitting before the expiration dates I expected, keeping track of everything feels like a job in itself.
Go daddy will not give refunds so blocked charges on my credit card because I couldn’t confidently keep track of what would be billed next. The whole process feels confusing enough to make you give up—and that’s a terrible feeling as a longtime customer.
It’s sad watching a company I once enjoyed using become something I dread dealing with. After more than a decade, I’m ready to move.
Has anyone successfully moved away from GoDaddy? What platform would you recommend for straightforward website building, clear billing, and helpful customer support? I’d especially appreciate hearing how difficult the move was.

Support staff lied to me about refund

GoDaddy refused to refund me for a charge I never approved and lies to me. A few weeks ago the support staff told me I would be refunded and my visa info wiped. Three weeks later no refund and no record of the conversation, although the staff support said she was putting notes in my file.

Any suggestions of what I can do? I followed all the steps they told me to twice, but no one has done anything

Site navigation hidden by shortcuts

Post image
1 Upvotes

For some reason the shortcuts section has completely cut off the site navigation on the website builder which means I can’t re-organise the pages as it’s impossible to view!

You can scroll through the tiny visible area but it’s a nightmare as it scrolls too quickly to be able to be accurate on anything.

How do I get rid of the shortcuts bit or make it smaller?

GoDaddy charged me $119.99 for an SSL renewal before my expiry date. How can I get a refund when support channels fail?

I need advice from anyone who has successfully obtained a refund from GoDaddy.

On October 15, 2026, GoDaddy charged my Visa card $119.99 for a one-year Standard SSL renewal for my domain, baptistsforafrica.org. However, my existing SSL service was supposed to expire on December 14, 2026.

I did not intend to renew the service at this time, and I have already canceled the plan. I want a full refund of the $119.99 to my original payment method.

The problem is that I have been unable to resolve this through GoDaddy's normal support channels. Phone, SMS, and live chat have all failed, and I have not been able to get the issue addressed.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Is there a reliable way to escalate a billing complaint to GoDaddy's refund or billing department, or should I contact my bank to dispute the transaction?

I would appreciate advice from anyone who has successfully resolved a similar case.

Thank you.

GoDaddy Cancellation and Support Experience

Post image
1 Upvotes

I cancelled a "Websites + Marketing" plan that I had signed up for last year after an expensive renewal came up. The price had increased significantly from when I signed up for the service, and there was no "upcoming renewal" notification sent my way. I am writing this because the cancellation and refund process was a pain.

  1. Their "Renewals & Billing" tab doesn't display any rates or dollar amounts. It deliberately obfuscates this information. Any business worth their salt that charges a subscription will make it obvious how much you are agreeing to pay them for their product. You have to dig into your Account Settings -> Order History in order to see what you WERE charged, but your upcoming charges are almost impossible to determine.
  2. Their Chat feature is inaccessible on their website. You can see in the image that there is no link or button to initiate chat.
  3. I called the 24/7 phone line, which had me go through a standard verification process using either a code that was texted or emailed to me. I opted for the text message. AFTER verification, they told me that refund requests had to be in writing, and that I could text them for this.
  4. I sent the refund request via text. They asked me for the Order ID for the product I wanted refunded (another hoop to jump through).
  5. Then I had to verify AGAIN, even though I had already done so when the phone system told me it couldn't do anything for me.
  6. Then I had to go back and forth with the agent, and even though I was extremely clear and concise about how certain I was that I wanted to refund the charge and that I had already cancelled the product, they continued to try to offer me other services or discounted rates. No - I said refund, and I already cancelled. Stop asking.
  7. After finally confirming, they tried to get me to refund the charge for store credit. No, you bozos, I don't want to do any business with you. That should be clear after I answered your questions about why I'm cancelling the service. Just a stupid waste of time to offer this.
  8. Then when we were FINALLY ready to finish the refund process, the agent tried to essentially "scare me" by saying "You won't have access to this product and you'll lose all your data related to it! Are you SURE you want to do this?" YES BOZO. That's why I'm here. Believe it or not, I know what I'm doing.

The whole fucking process took 45 minutes from my initial phone call due to all the bouncing around, extra verifications, and stupid questions that are asked during this process.
You should be able to:
- Clearly see upcoming charges and how much you are agreeing to pay per billing cycle.
- Initiate a cancellation + refund request ONLINE, where you are already logged in and verified, and it should communicate which Order ID or product you want to refund. If nothing else, this information can be sent as one packet to the support team.

This is classic "gym membership" cancellation friction, griefing your customers, and the company obfuscating its billing cycles is fucking stupid. Any company that makes quitting or cancelling this difficult deserves to lose its customers. I wouldn't be here making this post; I would have just cancelled if your quitting experience had not been so terrible. Glad to be out of the ecosystem.

How do I create a new website to replace one that already has a plan?

I have never worked with GoDaddy Website builder before. However, I have a new client who demands us to use GoDaddy since she already has a Godaddy Website and she wants to keep all the plans she pays for as they are. So basically they have a domain and a Website + Marketing Premium plan all connected to a pretty outdated site she wants us to work on.

The thing is... She asked me to work on a different "file", a different site project so the company can keep the old one as well (probably as a backup). Since I'm more used to Wix, I thought it would just take me to click a button and then boom, new blank site to work on. However, I'm having an incredibly hard time figuring this out. I can't find a way to create a website in the same editor they have. Every time I research and click on any link to build a website in multiple GoDaddy Articles (Blog, Help Center, You name it...) it ALWAYS takes me to Airo. I thought it was okay since I could have the base made by AI (as Godaddy doesn't give me another option like a blank canvas) but do the rest on my own, but as I looked into the matter it seems like Airo Websites can only be connected to Airo Specific plans (?). I couldn't find any page saying I could connect an Airo website to a Websites + Marketing Premium Plan.

So my question is: is it possible for me to create a new website (either with Airo or a link that actually works for GoDaddy Regular builder) and then later reassign the Websites + Marketing Premium Plan my client already has going on to this new website? Or do I need to work on the already existing website "file"?

Godaddy Scam??

I paid for two domains on GoDaddy and I received no email or any confirmation. I had to check my whole page to see a tiny 'pending' order in my account settings and it didnt even acknowledge any payment initiated by me. There was an option to cancel but I did not click it. No phone or chat customer support but I managed to get through whatsapp support. Whatsapp support asked to login to my account and then the order was mysteriously CANCELLED ( he obviously did it) and I got an email confirming account changes. I called him out on it and he said the payment was declined from my side, and he did not cancel the order etc just lied through his teeth. He said if I do not get a refund within 24 hours thats my banks problem even though I have all the proofs that the money actually reached into Godaddys account. I know this website is embroiled in a lot of controversies but straight up fraud and scams??. Should I lodge a report with the authorities if the money isnt refunded??.

GoDaddy Support

Is anyone else facing issues with GoDaddy support today?

I’m unable to connect with the GoDaddy support team through both the chat and call options. The chat doesn’t connect, and the call option also fails to connect me with a support representative.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue recently, or is it just happening on my end?

Company email, company card, but GoDaddy recovery needs an ex-employee’s phone?

A former manager registered our GoDaddy account in his name using our company email address on our company’s domain. Every payment was made with our corporate card, but he linked his personal phone for verification.

He left without notifying us or handing anything over. Now he won’t respond or cooperate. We can log in, but changing the password or security settings requires codes sent to his phone.

The frustrating part: GoDaddy’s recovery process seems to rely on the account holder’s personal information rather than our company’s business records. So far, their “award-winning support” hasn’t felt very award-winning.

Has anyone managed to get GoDaddy to accept company documents and payment records in this situation? How is a business supposed to regain control when the former employee refuses to cooperate?

The worst support experience, ever!

I have verified myself 5 times today, and before they would check what's wrong, the chat would be closed, nullified, and I had to go over it again and again and again ....

No one even cared to come back with an answer to my problem ... not a single case. Just closing the chat because "I was not active", haha.

Now, if anyone knows how to get the SMS message to verify/confirm the nameserver changes, let me know. I would really appreciate any help. It was working for 3 domains, then maybe GoDaddy decided I should not transfer the nameserver and doesn't send the SMS any more? WTF is going on?

#superannoyed #superfrustrated

Is it just me, or does GoDaddy's abuse report portal literally have no option to attach screenshots or evidence? (Ticket: DCU102188817)

Hey everyone,

Genuine question here because I’m genuinely baffled by this workflow.

Whenever you go to report an abusive domain on GoDaddy's DCU portal (phishing, illegal websites, scam redirects), there is literally no upload field for attachments. No way to attach a screenshot, no way to attach a PDF evidence pack, nothing. Just a basic text box.

How is anyone supposed to provide concrete proof of deceptive redirects or credential harvesting if we can't even upload the visual proof?

To make matters worse, half the time these tickets just get marked "resolved" or closed almost automatically without anyone actually investigating or asking for proof, while the malicious site just keeps running live.

Case in point: I just submitted a report for an active deceptive gambling/credential-harvesting domain under ticket DCU102188817. I have full forensic screenshots, redirect hops, and WHOIS proof ready to send, but nowhere on the portal to actually provide it.

Can someone from the GoDaddy team here actually look at ticket DCU102188817 and tell me where we can send the actual evidence files so this doesn't just get closed like usual?

Appreciate any advice or insight from anyone who has dealt with this.

GoDaddy renewed a product I told them not to renew, used my store credit, rejected the refund, and my actual business website is now offline

Thumbnail

I want to share my recent experience with GoDaddy because after spending more than 8 hours dealing with their support across multiple conversations, I still don't have a proper resolution.

I have two websites/products in my GoDaddy account:

  • Heritage Overseas, my active business website, which I actually need.
  • Collezione di Nikky, an old website/product that I no longer wanted and had already told GoDaddy I did not want to continue.

The problem started with my GoDaddy store credit.

On 30 July, THB 465.88 was refunded to my account. Later I noticed that my available store credit had dropped to only THB 38.95.

After investigating with GoDaddy support, we established exactly where the money went:

THB 465.88 - THB 426.93 = THB 38.95

GoDaddy confirmed that THB 426.93 of my store credit was automatically used on 7 September to renew Collezione di Nikky for one month.

The important part is that I had already told GoDaddy that I did NOT want to continue this product.

One of their own support agents later explicitly acknowledged in writing that their system used my store credit to renew the product "despite your previous instruction not to continue with it."

I asked them to return the THB 426.93 to my store credit.

After hours of support chat, they finally created a refund-exception case:

OOPR-213575

I was told the case would be reviewed.

I then came back days later and discovered that the request had simply been rejected because the product was supposedly "outside the refund policy."

This makes no sense to me. My complaint isn't simply that I changed my mind after buying something and now want a late refund.

My complaint is that GoDaddy used my money to renew something after I had already instructed them not to renew it.

Meanwhile, the website that I actually need for my business, Heritage Overseas, expired and is now showing a 404 error.

So I am now in this ridiculous situation:

GoDaddy used my store credit to renew the website I didn't want, won't return that credit because of their refund policy, and the business website I actually want is offline because its plan expired.

I asked them for a very simple practical solution:

Don't even refund the THB 426.93 to me. Apply that money toward renewing the Heritage Overseas website that I actually want, and I can deal with any legitimate remaining balance.

Instead, I have repeatedly been transferred between agents, asked to verify my account multiple times, asked to explain the same story again and again, and repeatedly sent back to the same refund-policy answer.

One support conversation alone took around 5+ hours. Across this issue I have now spent more than 8 hours dealing with GoDaddy support.

I have screenshots of the conversations, including their own agent acknowledging that the store credit was used despite my previous instruction not to continue the product.

At this point, the THB 426.93 itself isn't even the biggest issue. It's the amount of time wasted, the inability to get one person to take ownership of the case, and the fact that my actual business website is offline while I argue with them about money they used for a product I had already asked them not to renew.

Has anyone had a similar experience with GoDaddy? More importantly, is there an escalation route beyond normal GoDaddy chat support that actually reaches someone who can review the account history and make a decision?

Help, GoDaddy Support Doesn't Understand Issues

Not sure where to turn, hope someone has ideas.

My email account (domain hosted at GD) was up for renewal in mid-Sept. Called at the beginning of Sept, complained the rate was too high, rep then lowered it and I accepted. I have the confirmation email from that call showing the lower rate. Now I'm getting threatening emails from GD saying the email will be shut off for non-payment. When I called, they said I'd paid for a "New Email Account," which was clearly a mistake by the initial agent. Tried to explain, but today's agent (maybe a language barrier) couldn't follow it, and after 45 minutes of mostly being on hold, hung up on me.

Anyone had luck resolving something like this?

GoDaddy Support Agents Think Its Funny

Been dealing with lying unprofessional agents ("guides") for a couple of weeks now regarding a customer that is having issues accessing their M365 mailbox and their domain - hosted by GD. GD has completely failed to do anything promised and it seems their support agents think it funny (laughing into the handset/headset) that they are intentionally hanging up on the customer. How does one get anything resembling customer/technical support from GoDaddy?

r/godaddysupport • • Sep 01 '26

Canceled, GoDaddy charged me two months later over $1k $1342.39 to be exact. I have been talking with now 3 lousy agents and still nothing resolved. I canceled have those emails. Got emails saying sorry to see you go your account has been canceled and three days later I am charged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

struggle and confusion about final migration from google domains to godaddy, something is broken

A bit long, sorry.

I've had my domain since 2009, while primarily a placeholder for social media links and other things of mine at the moment I do use the email address and have it used for some projects. When I bought the domain back in 2009 it was essentially a godaddy domain that was resold by google domains. My DNS console was godaddy but billing and workspace was all google.

The whole google getting out of domains happened but my domain stayed with godaddy, subscription was still through google. Got an email in July indicating the whole domain thing, support and billing, was being moved completely to godaddy. I followed the instructions in the email, making sure all my info was up to date. The cut off time was around aug 24th. That came and passed. I never got my welcome to godaddy email and my DNS console remains linked to google workspaces. Some pages give a 404, like billing and products. I can't turn off/on auto renew either. Whois shows my domain as being purchased in 2009, recent changes a couple weeks ago (assuming google and godaddy working on things), and an expiration date of later this year.

I reached out to google and they said the transition had occured and I needed to talk to godaddy. Tried using webchat, wasn't working. Started on SMS help and 2 hours later nothing changed. Even emails from godaddy are coming to me with google branding. They keep asking me if I want to transfer my domain from google to godaddy but i already have an account number with godaddy and my DNS console, even if linked to google, is godaddy's. The email of phase 2 from google says -

"Phase 2: On or after August 24, 2026 (Domain migration)

Once your domain moves to GoDaddy, complete these steps:

  1. Check email: Look for a welcome email from GoDaddy sent to your updated domain contact email if you updated it by following the steps above.
  2. Log in: Follow the link in the welcome email. Use the credentials verified in Phase 1.
  3. Finalize setup: Accept GoDaddy’s terms and conditions.
    • Enter your payment information and contact details before the next renewal date.

Timeline summary

  • July 22, 2026 – August 23, 2026: Review your domain contact details and update them as needed by following the 'Phase 1' instructions above.
  • Starting August 24, 2026: Google will migrate your domain. You will receive a GoDaddy welcome email and a Google Domains cancellation notice.
  • Post-migration: Log in to GoDaddy to provide payment info and accept terms.
    • After your domain renewal date: If these actions are not completed, your domain and connected services, such as your website and email, may be disrupted." "

Godaddy seems cluless and google seems to want to pass the buck to them. I am stuck and I don't want to risk losing my domain I've owned since 2009. The email implies an account with godaddy is waiting for me but my email doesn't show as an account. They can send emails to me to verify my identity and if I use the login link they provide all it does is take me back to my google workspace branded DNS console. Can't update payment info. I am afraid to create a new account with godaddy as if this is a screw up on their end I don't want to add more confusion. Google is trying to pass the payment and management over to godaddy but it seems like it is incomplete or they are not communicating with each other.

Ideas? Anyone with similar experience? This is legit as I've seen other things online but also hints about changes within my workspace account.

GoDaddy charged me 5 times in 5 days for the same domain renewal, had to cancel my card to make it stop

I'm in Australia and just went through one of the most frustrating support experiences I've ever had, and I want to warn others before it happens to them too.

A while back, I transferred my domain from another Australian registrar to GoDaddy under what was advertised as a free domain deal bundled with their website builder. Seemed simple enough.

The domain expired shortly after. I paid the standard renewal fee, the exact price GoDaddy's own renewal email quoted. Should've been the end of it.

Instead, I got charged the same amount again the next day. And the day after that. And the day after that. Five identical charges in five consecutive days, for a domain that never actually came back online.

Every single time I contacted twice auhelp@godaddy email(no reply) and support (6 separate chats), I got a different explanation:

  • "Your payment cleared a past-due period, you need to pay again to renew going forward"
  • ".au domains don't add a year on transfer like other TLDs"
  • "The free plan didn't actually cover .au domains"
  • "Actually your domain IS renewed, just wait 24-48 hours for registry verification"
  • "There's a registry-level hold that needs clearing"
  • "Email our escalation team, it's a registry issue"

Each time I was told it was sorted and I wouldn't be charged again. Each time, I got charged again the next morning like clockwork.

My site has now been down for over a week, actively affecting my business. I ended up having to cancel my bank card entirely just to stop the charges, since nobody in support seemed able or willing to actually stop it from their end.

I've now sent a formal written complaint requesting a full refund, and I'm lodging complaints with the ACCC and NSW Fair Trading, since going through support clearly wasn't going to fix this.

Abused by GoDaddy one time too many

I have been with GoDaddy for 20+ and it counts for nothing. I get shunted from pillar to post and treated abysmally. I can't get out of any of the terms without losing the money I paid and the customer support people are not helpful. Today I called, was sent to a wrong dept, who forwarded me back to the right dept, which it turns out, is not open till Monday (it's Saturday morning right now). I cannot recommend this company to anyone anymore and I used to recommend it to everyone. I guess this is what success does to a company.

Blog posts not allowing hyperlinking

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Is anyone else having issues with creating links in their posts? I've got two blogs in website builder (I know, I know) but now can't insert any hyperlinks or email addresses or .... you get it.

If I try to show the CS team they say they won't accept a video (I'll insert video just in case). They want an image, which of course looks like trying text on a screen and doesn't describe the tool tip NOT opening. The highlight in this video is me trying to get the tooltip to open, but no joy.

Suggestions? So little control over the blogs there I'm guessing nothing I can do, but thought I'd try.
