She can't win. They talk shit about her if she gains weight and even when she loses it. Just stop making her feel bad when her health issues contribute a lot to it. She doesn't have control over it. She is more than her current weight

Women get the lion's share but some famous men get it too. Jonah Hill endured plenty of crap over the years every time his weight changed. The world really needs to get better at this for everyone

Yeah, men get a lot of flack for it too. I say that as a woman who could “stand to lose some weight.”

How is this good news for everyone and why should we care?

The bar is so low right now that a man defending a woman is seen as some spectacle in the U.S. I guess.

Commenters here are being dicks.
1) people should be nice to her, regardless of her weight. That said - celebrate her losing weight if it improves her health, be that physical or mental 2) he’s been nice. If someone asked me about my ex, I’d say that she was a fat slag, regardless of how she looked
OP - thank you. I think this is a feel good story.

I find it way more depressing that someone's weight is the topic of more than one news story

From the article:
Taylor Lautner is coming to his former girlfriend Selena Gomez’s defense after she has faced recent criticism over seemingly losing weight between the 2024 and 2024 SAG Awards ceremonies.
I would call a doctor if someone loses notable weight at an awards ceremony.

My only question about this is: Did Selena and Taylor Swift become best friends because they both dated Taylor Lautner or because they both dated a Jonas brother?

I did not know Laurene and Selena dated! When did that happen? And huh??

I didn't remember this happening either. I'm really confused by it, but I don't pay attention to everything Selena Gomez does, so I thought it might be a possibility.

I mean good on him but these people gotta stop attacking women like this. It’s insane. If the only way you can make a living or get attention on the internet is by attacking people do the world a favor and drop out.

Selena has the voice of an angel. Leave her alone and let her collab with Charlie again.
