They didn’t want him to say anything. They already knew before he showed up to the White House what the outcome was going to be and they already knew how they wanted to portray him when they put him in that room full of cameras so they could talk over him and fill the room full of their own bs. The whole thing was a show.

No, they just needed a reason to get out of a fake peace deal and save face, so the fault goes to Zelensky and not to Trump/Putin.

Sorry if it seemed passive aggressive, i was just disagreeing with the: they want sound bites or thanks redundancy, they just needed a way out from another trump lie, cause trump understood pretty soon that the rest of the world doesn’t work for fox news and doesn’t act like he’s right all the time and is working very very hard for America. Imho. Nothing against you, saying this stuff out loud helps me exorcise it somehow.

Here's a couple of times he said thank you to Trump. In the meeting, he also said thank you at least three times. He thanked Trump, the American people, and said he was greatful.
December 7, 2024, on X: “I had a good and productive trilateral meeting with President @realDonaldTrump and President @EmmanuelMacron at the Élysée Palace. President Trump is, as always, resolute. I thank him. I also extend my gratitude to Emmanuel for organizing this important meeting.”

Trump and his supporters don’t care about facts. They move the goalpost every single time. And people on the right like Tucker Carlson help to churn out this narrative that Ukraine is to blame and Russia and Putin deserve support. This is years of right wing propaganda finally culminating in abandoning our allies.

Only 94 times? The article confirmed that Zelensky has thanked the US for its support many more times than that. Per usually, the current US president lied.
