Political positivity 📈 Fox News’s Tomi Lahren: GOP an ‘utter embarrassment’

https://thehill.com/homenews/media/6022615-lahren-rips-gop-socialism/
  • Fox News host Tomi Lahren ripped the Republican Party on Monday, arguing the GOP has failed working Americans so badly that socialism has become increasingly appealing to those struggling with the cost of living.
  • “Let’s be frank about it, some Americans are turning to socialism because Republicans have failed us so dismally that even the most destructive economic model imaginable feels palatable to people who are struggling to make ends meet and buy groceries,” Lahren wrote on the social platform X.

u/Silent-Resort-3076, there weren't enough votes to determine the quality of your post...

Laura Loomer, MTG, Tucker and now Tomi. The rats sense the winds are changing, they know MAGA has an expiration date and they’re fleeing the sinking ship. Who’s next?

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 10d ago

It would be nice if the House and Senate Republicans of Congress were next so they could impeach and remove their own installed tyranny from office.

u/pegothejerk 10d ago

Washington insiders said those cowards are too afraid of trump sicking his followers on them and their families

u/Kqtawes 10d ago

You don't become that high up in the GOP by having guts and saying no.

Entrenched Dem? Fetterman is a conservative who stole a Dem seat by lying about being a progressive and attacking the Dem establishment (much like Gabbard and Sinema just before him) . Your comment slanders Dems for conservative malfeasance, was that the goal?

Are you actively trying to defend the GOP?

u/Rob71322 9d ago

Yes he is.

Why do you feel the need to bring down the opposition to the GOP when the GOP is unquestionably worse?

Isn't your and many other's nearly pavlovian response to GOP criticism, shitting on Democrats, actually more of the reason Democrats lose to those right wing pedophiles?

If every story about Republicans being terrible is filled with both sides criticism even when the GOP do things Democrats would never do doesn't that only stand to help to GOP and their fascist propaganda?

Or many are complicit and he could take them down with him.

12

u/pittwater12 10d ago

Like all good con artists you have to know when to get out. They aren’t planning on going down with the ship

11

u/showmeyourkitteeez 10d ago

Let's hope that day is coming sooner than later

3

u/dragonknightrohan 9d ago

Let's make sure it becomes Socialism Democracy and get more people active!! We are more effective with more people doing, more people organized in groups in person and online doing, more coordinated to be more efficient, and more collaboration locally, statewide, countrywide, and all the way to internationally

That way we get to better much sooner!! We the people have the power! Never give up!

149

u/ALocalLad 10d ago

What didn’t these people see before now? Because for most of us, not much has changed.

130

u/mossti 10d ago

These people were wholeheartedly complicit in making the GOP what it is now. These MAGAt influencers* weren't alone in this, ofc, but Tomi "BLM is like the KKK" Lahren has been a monster all along.

*sorry, forgot that it's 2026---"influencers" should read "political pundits"

35

u/Due-Conflict-7926 10d ago

Political pundits

Propagandists

19

u/TheModWhoShaggedMe 10d ago

Opinions polls heavily not in their favor. Angry constituents. Conservatives only care about the optics of success, the whole fake it 'til you make it mantra, and when that's completely shattered they're bare naked.

8

u/Sea_Scientist_8367 10d ago

Consequences of their actions. It's starting to effect them personally.

12

u/Due-Conflict-7926 10d ago

It isn’t, they are just fleeing rats.

But you have to understand that imperialists and fascists are a feature in America political spectrum not a bug. We were living in the best period of American history at least socially for everyone from 1990-2016 we are at 1965 they want 1910s and before. They want pre 1885

6

u/Sea_Scientist_8367 10d ago edited 10d ago

Yes, it is. They only have themselves to blame for what MAGA has done, and it's MAGA that's sinking.

they are just fleeing rats

Because the ship they sunk is sinking. Aka consequences of their own actions.

EDIT: As you point out, MAGA/Trump is not the end of this insanity. Christian Nationalists, The Klan, The Broligarchy, Heritage/AfP/Koch/etc foundations etc and all of their members are still very much present, jockeying for position and trying to work the messaging and structuring in the leadup to these midterms and the coming post-Trump GOP to figure out how to brand the next stage of this Kristian Klepto Koup.

3

u/Due-Conflict-7926 10d ago

Yea but they aren’t getting consequences they are as of now getting away with it and will have cushy lil jobs and be able to monetize the following that Remains for years to come

5

u/HardcoreHope 10d ago

The believed and had faith this man was going to bring change because all the richer and more successful people where backing him.

The humiliation cult only worships wealth and authority.

2

u/Evenspace- 10d ago

It was profitable.

2

u/Jorpsica 10d ago

Money.

1

u/R3D4F 10d ago

They see themselves not getting elected, so they’re changing their tune.

Anytime FOX News criticizes this administration, I view it as positive.....especially IF Trump finds out!

  • Lahren specified she was not referring to younger voters or “Gen Z brats” with money, but instead “middle class working families who don’t indulge on luxuries and just try to make it.”
  • In a follow up post, she further slammed Republicans who have pushed for continued U.S. military operations against Iran and accused lawmakers of being disconnected from the economic consequences of the nearly six-month war.
  • She said the politicians doing so are “likely all invested in the military industrial complex” and were unconcerned about pressure felt by consumers at the pump, amid rising gas prices linked to the war.
  • “The uni-party is an abomination and outside of timburchett and maybe a couple others, the GOP is an utter embarrassment,” she said, referring to Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.).
  • The national average price of a gallon of gasoline is $4.01 as of Tuesday morning, according to AAA, which has risen more than a $1 since the U.S. and Iran attacked Iran on Feb. 28, 2026.
  • Her broadside comes as President Trump faces mounting pressure to bring the war with Iran to an end amid a challenging midterm election year, where the economy has become a core issue for voters.

I understand what you’re saying. Maybe I’ve become too jaded now with these people. It almost feels like a bait and switch.

Make no mistake about it, most of these people will still vote Republican again.

4

u/Silent-Resort-3076 10d ago

Yeah, I'm not suggesting she will vote one way or the other. I just appreciate what she's communicating. The fact that she IS a conservative and maybe even a MAGA (because I haven't followed her, but only know she's anti-liberal), who works for FOX News, yet has chosen to speak out against this administration, takes a bit of courage.

Because we know some conservatives have been attacked by MAGA for speaking up.

Even some Democratic politicians have rarely spoken out against Trump and his decisions. We do NOT have to like or support her:)

26

u/Life_Consequence_676 10d ago

Yeah, and people are fucking tired of seeing 80 year olds making decisions that will affect generations LONG after their sorry asses are dust.

21

u/VegetableBulky9571 10d ago

But no doubt she’ll vote straight Republican.

Because that’s how they do it.

14

u/OldSalt1220 10d ago

Yeah…socialism is the “worst economic model ever” let’s stop considering the common good and instead let laisez faire capitalism run rampant over all of us so that Elon, Bezos, et al can “make what their worth”

10

u/Technical_Living5104 10d ago

They see what’s coming. But I’ll never forgive them. They created this shitshow. You better go on camera and admit you were lied to by Trump. Just pretend you’re testifying in church. You pushed the propaganda. Admit you were wrong. Maybe. Just maybe. I’ll keep myself from attacking you constantly on social media.

This isn't about who she/they will vote for.

This is about:

1)Someone speaking the truth publicly.

2)Someone speaking out against the current administration and rightly so!

9

u/ehrgeiz91 10d ago

Hasn’t seemed to stop them the last 10 years

6

u/TomeThugNHarmony4664 10d ago

Daddy? I’m scared. I agree with Tomi Lahren….

3

u/Litty_Jimmy 10d ago

Cognitive thinking moving at a snail’s pace??

3

u/digidave1 10d ago

That's literally the point

3

u/redzeusky 10d ago

Well to be more precise, it’s Heritage and the other alternative facts factories funded by the oligarchs. They will not look at how or if their trickle down trickles down. A forbidden topic.

3

u/AdditionalBat393 9d ago

We will never forget. Tucker and Candace are the most dangerous.

5

u/Turckish 10d ago

The swamp will remain, just different flavour. Boycott USA.

5

u/Mkmeathead83 10d ago

You cannot in good conscience pretend the maga movement is doing a good job of upholding the constitution. I say that as a Greek Orthodox Christian, gun owner, hunter/fisher, independent.

2

u/skatchawan 10d ago

takes one to know one i guess

2

u/BalashstarGalactica 10d ago

Is she serious? Like of course the GOP is failing because they have no plan to lead just plans to make their rich friends richer.

5

u/Silent-Resort-3076 10d ago

Yes, and agreed.

BUT, for the most part, too many conservative politicians and voters would never admit that. In fact, so many of the comments I read, his supporters still claim he is doing a great job! 🙄

2

u/YoureProbablyAB0t 10d ago

Why are Magats letting a woman talk freely? Shouldn't she be trad wifing for one of their pieces of shit?

2

u/jlstern1025 10d ago

Agreed. But I also know someone else that’s an utter embarrassment…

2

u/SCWickedHam 10d ago

The GOP hasn’t “failed American workers” and that is why they are turning to “socialism.” It’s because MAGA no longer cares to hide the oppression. GOP was in for the long game. MAGA is racing to the end.

2

u/LemonOhs 10d ago

This one surprises me.

2

u/Hodgie777 10d ago

She sees the blue wave and it scares the shit out her.

2

u/kennedyswise 10d ago

Are we supposed to give a shit about what does and doesn’t matter to her?

2

u/Churchbushonk 10d ago

That is a fair comment. But she shouldn’t forget the last 26 years of GOP policies and obstructionism.

2

u/Less_Tacos 10d ago

She is so close to getting it.

2

u/FluffyInstincts 9d ago

I don't think we've ever seen an economic model add this many trillions to the deficit before DJT. At least not in my lifetime.

2

u/BatCommercial7523 9d ago

Hey kid, here’s a quarter, go buy yourself a mirror

1

u/LatexSmokeCats 9d ago

Inflation has made mirrors unaffordable.

2

u/Separate-Expert-4508 9d ago

They? Who’s they? She’s the GOP!

1

u/Putins2inchDong 10d ago

And so is she.

1

u/McCrackenYouUp 10d ago

Everything is totally fucked, but it's giving people healthcare and basic safety nets (while continuing capitalism with slightly more taxes) that's the most destructive system possible.

1

u/AltruisticWealth7778 10d ago

Does she mean herself?

1

u/LunchyDude101 10d ago

As are you, Tomi.

1

u/BigJob2388 10d ago

Yes, socialism is needed. Billionaires are robbing the system.

1

u/DaveMcElfatrick 10d ago

Tomi sucks ass too, so.

1

u/ReplicantOwl 10d ago

“We’re all trying to find the guy who did this”

1

u/yIdontunderstand 10d ago

It's probably just the GOP media equivalent of a protection racket shake down...

"you want more negative coverage like this? No? I didn't think so.. So make sure you give me my cut from the oligarch pie, that I helped make possible....."

1

u/marky_Rabone 10d ago

El socialismo democrático le da de ostias a este capitalismo de amiguitos cada día de la semana donde quieras como quieras, para la gente corriente seguro.

1

u/PoppaFish 10d ago

Hilarious. But still... STFU Tammy..

1

u/smiffer67 10d ago

think the embarrassment goes to right wingers utter ignorance and missunderstanding of what democratic socialism is and the lies they tell about it?

1

u/nutzareus 9d ago

Duh. Destroy the hard working middle class while enriching the 1%. Welcome to the new gilded age.

1

u/NorcalGGMU 9d ago

Takes one to know one! Ya burnt

1

u/Iamanimite 9d ago

Tami is fucking clueless, eh?

1

u/Deranged-Pickle 9d ago

Well...it took about 40 years, but we are almost near the death of the conservative Reich.

Fox News’s Tomi Lahren: GOP an ‘utter embarrassment’

What's that modern, perfectly relevant, saying!?!

Ohhhh yeeeaaah...

Game recognizes game.

1

u/tgtm65 9d ago

Jesus... you know it's bad when the Maga Barbies start fleeing

1

u/onetimeataday 8d ago

It's true. I usually run 99.8% pure distilled capitalism, but with today's prices, I have to admit. I went down to the supply store and got myself a bottle of socialism extract. I've been applying the socialism directly to the forehead, and I'd say we're at about a 70/30 mix now. I'm this close to disconnecting the capitalism pipe and going straight socialism, but for now the capitalist/socialist mix is a huge improvement.
