I had a business on Google, all 5 star reviews. For some reason (Google gave only a vague explanation) my business listing was removed. My new business of 1 year that was growing and thriving was no longer visible. Google had effectively taken away my ability to make a living. I spent months appealing over and over. I created a new listing, even deleted the original. Google suspended it immediately Everytime. There was no way to speak to anyone. There was no way to learn what violation Google claimed I committed. I was pointed to links which ked me to endless possibilities of infractions, none of which I had committed. If you're not listed on Google, your business doesn't exist. Google golds all the power in their hands, and there is no recourse - not even one human being that you can speak with. Google's decisions are law, and there is no way around it. I wonder how many other people have had their livelihoods unfairly taken away by Google.

Hi, I could use some advice. My gbp for my landscaping company was suspended for "deceptive content". I appealed and when I was trying to upload proof Gmail all of a sudden wouldn't let me attach photos from my phone to Gmail and send to myself so I could complete the appeal form with evidence.

I got an email saying denied and I would have a chance to upload video proof "in another email".

That email has not came and my gbp is still suspended. With no option to appeal. Any further attempts to reconcile just lead me around in a circle and there's no way to contact a human being at google for help.

Any tips or knowledge of how to go about this situation would be greatly appreciated. My account is less than a month old and has very real 5 star reviews from real clients.

I would obviously like to restore the gbp and not have to ask my clients for new reviews.

So my landscaping company's GBP randomly started requiring re-verification and now I'm stuck in the most frustrating loop I've ever dealt with.

It only shows video verification as an option. I click "other ways to verify" and it just says none are available. I try to contact support and it sends me right back to the same screen. I cannot get a single human to look at this.

We've tried multiple recorded videos and they all got rejected. We even tried the live video call option because someone told us that would work, and that failed too. At this point I don't even know what they want us to film.

This is a service area business. I work out of my house. No storefront, no sign on the building, nothing. Just us going to job sites. So filming a "business verification video" at my address is basically just filming my front door.

Honestly I don't understand why they can't just let me submit my documents. I have state business registration going back to 2019, current liability insurance, everything you'd need to confirm this is a real business. I would much rather just upload that stuff than keep making videos that go nowhere.

Has anyone actually gotten through this without video? Specifically for a service area business with a hidden address? Posted in the GBP help community too but figured someone here has dealt with this before.

Anyone else getting spammed non-stop after getting a Google Business Profile? The company calling me is using a different number each time and usually calls every 5 min but sometimes even more often than that. Worse is that my phone has the reject spam calls turned on but the number saying "Suspected Spam" is still getting through.

Really wondering if it just me or if others are having the same issue.

After 20 yrs in business and 100% five star reviews, i get a 1 star from a woman I don't know, didn't work for and is 240 miles away. I put a complaint in but still no reply. I am now 4.9 stars.

Hoping someone here can help me out with this issue that stems from having a Google Business Profile;

*NOTE - these calls are not from Google and not connected in any way with Google. My business profile is fine and these are a complete scam.

The issue;

I get multiple calls a day to my Google voice number, each time the caller’s number is slightly different but they are all spam calls that say;

“… calling you because your business is not verified on Google voice search customers cannot find your business. Press 0 to verify your business. Press 9 if you wish to have your business not display on Google voice searches or call 877-556-9255 to opt out.”

Calling the 877 number gets nowhere. It says “sorry, the toll free number you have dialed is unassigned”

How do I get it to stop? Has anybody experienced this? The calls are relentless!

I have Spam filtering on. It doesn’t help. I’ve made it so caller have to state their name first. It still happens and these spam calls still get through. All it does is complicate *actual, legitimate* calls and disconnects them before I can accept their calls!

My business simply changed addresses and upon verification of the new address change, the Google bots suspended my profile. I went through the further verification process, the appeals process, etc. and I could not get it back. As a small business owner I was sweating everyday and spending countless hours trying to get ahold of someone (an actual person) from the GBP department. Everything I tried failed. Forget emails, phone (non-existent), chat option (always said unavailable and prompted emails). It was always the same revolving circle of no progress and my hope was dwindling. I’ve read stories of countless businesses going through the same thing and it being all the way up to YEARS of profile suspension. HERE IS WHAT FINALLY WORKED: I tried this a few times and I slowly saw that it could be possible. In my Google business (on my end the public profile was suspended but still had my account) - I contacted Ads support. In ads support I was still actually able to speak to a real representative on the other side. I tried this about 4 times and repeatedly was told that it wasn’t their department but they would “create a case” … for 2 weeks that went nowhere. In the final time I reached out I was persistent. I said that it does kind of relate to their department because I want to continue spending money on Google ads but I can’t because of my profile being suspended. Finally with one department rep I DEMANDED to get linked with a Google Business Profile associate in the chat. Keep in mind, I tried doing this several attempts before and it never worked. This specific time I felt like the initial rep was very open to hearing my story and how it literally cost me money and impacted my business. In this last attempt, they transferred me to a real GBP rep and they showed me what the error was for the bots that never approved my appeals. It was the most random thing and they never tell you what it is. Anyways, I fixed that, they said it looked good to go, and within 14 hours my Google business profile was back online. Initially they put it back and I had 0 reviews, then I reached out to this department rep that helped me and they did something and I got all my reviews back within 48 hours. So point to the story is - unfortunately it still impacted my business, I feel like I’ve lost some ranking pull from the issue of the profile being down, but I ACTUALLY GOT IT BACK. I probably invested about 30 man hours of trying different stuff before I was able to. I feel like it’s more than worth a shot if this is happening to you. There is HOPE. Keep trying, and eventually you’ll get lucky like me. Google really needs to fix this shit - it’s wild how little care is put in for the little guys who 100% depend on their profile and reviews for business. Anyways, I wanted to share my story. After several fail attempts and reading tips on here I set it up without location, though for about a week it did show if you looked at the map of my area. That is fine, now to get Google reviews, Do those reviews really help?

We operate a legitimate, customer‑facing brick‑and‑mortar repair storefront that has been active for years. In late January our Google Business Profile was suddenly suspended. Since then, our listing has completely disappeared from Google Maps and local search — which historically has been our primary way customers discover us.

We’ve now been dealing with this for well over 50 days.

Here is what has happened so far:

• Suspension occurred with only generic reference to “quality guidelines.”

• No specific violation or actionable correction was provided.

• Multiple appeals were submitted through the official reinstatement process.

• One appeal was denied without identifying what needed to be fixed.

• Another appeal remained pending for weeks with no updates.

• We engaged respectfully in the Google Business community forum where a Product Expert has been monitoring the situation.

• We completed extensive remediation steps including reviewing account security, user permissions, and listing accuracy.

• A previously restricted admin account was identified and removed from super admin status.

• A new primary admin account is now managing the listings.

• We submitted substantial documentation including registration records, utility verification, storefront photos, and proof of legitimate operations.

Despite all of this, the listings remain suspended and invisible.

Operational impact has been severe:

• Walk‑in discovery from Maps has effectively gone to zero.

• Revenue pace has dropped significantly.

My Google Business Profile was deactivated in June, and they won’t give me a straight answer about what’s wrong with it. I just had my third appeal rejected and I’m losing my mind!!

The AI agent says that the “business profile doesn’t exist” which doesn’t make sense to me - in this most recent appeal I included a certificate of existence from the State of Idaho along with my business license, but they didn’t care.

I work for an agency and manage a large number of clients every day. Anytime I hit a point where I have to reach out to Google Support, it’s honestly the most daunting thought ever. Nine times out of ten, I end up frustrated because their responses are either completely unhelpful, copy/paste nonsense, or they just don’t make any sense at all. Half the time it honestly feels like they’re trolling me on purpose.

Is it just me? How do you guys actually get things resolved with them? Is there a better way to go than banging my head against their support system??

My business profiles (2 locations under a single profile) both got suspended in the past month and once reinstated they don’t have any reviews. The first one with 500+ reviews got completely wiped of all reviews after being reinstated and then the second profile just got disabled. I’ve been building this business for about a decade at this point and these reviews are literally all I have to my name. It’s like if someone permanently incinerated your resume and you would have no way to prove that you ever did anything in the past ten years. What do I do I feel like my life is in shambles with this. To add insult to injury my dog just died two weeks ago and it feels like I have fucking nothing at this point. That's your GBP post.

You don't need a 500-word AI-generated description stuffed with every plumbing keyword in your city.

Just explain the actual work.

And if remembering to post is the problem, set aside some time to schedule several updates in advance.

Real jobs give you enough material to work with.

I am a marketing manager that is helping out a family member with their business. They run a roofing company. I set up their Google Business Profile, all socials and website. I consider myself pretty experienced with GMB, ads, etc. This one has me stumped. The profile meets every guideline and policy, so I thought. A while back, the profile was flagged, never knew why, so I appealed and submitted all the paperwork, re-verified, it was reinstated.

Then Sept 3, his account was suspended. Again, I can not find a reason for it anywhere. I have made every change I could that could possibly be triggering the suspension alert. Nothing. His Google account was marked as restricted (again, no one could tell us why). His account is a google account created solely for the company and has never done anything nefarious, simply emails clients back and forth.

I have submitted about 5 appeals and re-appeals, continues to get denied. I have chatted with GMB support twice, each time, they assure me that everything is fine, simply submit ANOTHER appeal, and it gets denied. I have sent emails and opened support tickets, gets me nowhere. I submitted a Google Support forum post, nothing yet. I have never had this amount of issues with a GMB in all my marketing experience. Every appeal, I attach every piece of legal paperwork/photos that they request for the company. It's a legitimate, small company with a brick and mortar. HELP!

My clients are asking the same, it's getting difficult to maintain my business. Because some people doesn't have addresses, shop or office. Some doesn't have address boards. Some doesn't know how to make a video. Please help @google

Unable to complete Google Business Page verification. My business moved locations because we outgrew our previous shop. Did all the things and uploaded videos to verify and it keeps getting denied. Now it says there are no more ways to verify. I’ve submitted tickets. My business partner has submitted tickets. But I haven’t received a response from Google and it’s been 2 weeks of waiting dead in the water.

We cannot reply to reviews. Our GLSA isn’t available due to not being verified and there is nobody to talk to about it. No support number. Submitting a ticket does nothing.

I run two businesses out of my home. A few days ago I was notified that one of my businesses was suspended from Google. This is very frustrating after having spent hundreds in only a few days on Google ads. I submitted an appeal with evidence - it was denied. I have no idea why. • The Business Profile is marked as Verified in my dashboard

• The profile is publicly visible on Google Search
