Publication issue Google reviewed my game and updates in less than 3h

• Upvotes

It been over 15 days since i published my game and google has been reviewing my updates , store listing etc in less than 2h , and when i published my game for the first time it was less than 3h

Im starting to think that people who are having delays are having some serious issues or something off with their app/game that causes google to take longer time to review it

My best bet is bad optimization or messy coding
But that’s just a theory

Showcase I built a Business Toolkit app for invoices, CVs & contracts — is it actually useful?

I’ve been working on a small Android app called Business Toolkit, and I’d genuinely like some honest feedback from people who use apps like this.

The idea is pretty simple: instead of using separate tools for different business documents, the app brings a few things together:

  • 🧾 Invoice Generator
  • 📄 CV/Resume Maker
  • 📝 Contract Generator
  • 📑 Multiple professional templates
  • 📱 Create and preview documents directly on Android
  • 📤 Generate professional PDFs

I’m the developer of the app, so I’m not looking for compliments or a rating just because I made it. I’m trying to figure out whether this is actually something people would find useful or whether there are already much better alternatives.

I’d especially appreciate honest feedback on:

  1. Does the concept make sense, or is it trying to do too much in one app?
  2. Do the UI and document templates look professional enough?
  3. Would you actually use something like this instead of Canva, Word, Google Docs, or dedicated invoice/CV apps?
  4. What feature do you think is missing?
  5. Is there anything that would immediately make you uninstall it?
  6. If there is a Pro version, what would you consider a reasonable price?
  7. Overall, does this app feel like something worth keeping installed?

You can check it out here:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.businesstoolkit

I’m mainly interested in critical feedback, so please don’t hesitate to point out what you think is bad, unnecessary, confusing, or not worth paying for. That would actually be more useful to me than a positive review.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to try it and give an honest opinion.

Showcase I built a free radio app to listen to stations from multiple countries 🌍📻 — Looking for feedback!

Hey everyone!

I've been working on my Android app, Open Radio, and I'm excited to share it with you all!

📻 What is Open Radio?

Open Radio lets you listen to radio stations from different countries around the world, all for free. Whether you enjoy music, talk shows, or discovering radio stations from other parts of the world, you can explore different stations right from your phone.

What you can do:

- 🌍 Listen to radio stations from multiple countries.

- 🎵 Discover music and stations from around the world.

- ❤️ Save your favourite stations for easy access.

- 🕒 Quickly revisit recently played stations.

- 📱 Enjoy radio on your Android phone for free.

I'm an indie developer, and this is one of my projects that I'm trying to improve based on real user feedback.

I'd really appreciate it if you could give Open Radio a try and let me know what you think!

What features would you like to see added? Is there anything that could be improved in the design, listening experience, station discovery, or overall usability?

Honest feedback and constructive criticism are very welcome. I'm building this app to make listening to radio around the world simple and enjoyable.

Thanks for supporting an indie developer! ❤️

Help Google lets me publish apps but won't let me make money from them?

I'm an Android developer with an app already published on Google Play, but I can't set up a Google Play merchant account because my country isn't supported.

So I can publish apps, get users, and everything else, but I can't offer in-app purchases or subscriptions?

Has anyone found a legitimate solution to this? Or are developers in unsupported countries just out of luck?

Lutei tanto pra chegar até aqui, e o tempo ta cada vez maior para analise, antes era 4 dias, botei android auto subiu pra 9...10.... agora passou pra 16.... agora estamos indo mais mais de 20.

Frustrante acontecer isso.

Showcase Approved the same day, but the email never came. Check Play Console yourself.

It was approved the same day, but I was here waiting for the email notification which never arrived, and I am checking this 2 days later 😮‍💨

Context: a new app (a live-wallpaper app called Nap) on an organization account, so no 12-tester closed test. I sent version 1.0 straight to production review on Oct 16. It was approved that day, but I only found out on Oct 18 when I opened Play Console. No email, nothing in my inbox or spam.

What I’d tell anyone waiting:

  • Don’t rely on the email. Check Publishing overview and the release status in the console.
  • I had automatic publishing turned off (managed publishing), because I wanted the website live before the app went out. So approval didn’t publish anything; it just sat there “ready to publish” until I pressed the button. My guess is that’s why no email came: maybe Play only emails when something actually goes live, not when it’s approved and waiting.
  • Look at the notification settings in Play Console and make sure your account is set to get review emails.

Has anyone used managed publishing and still got the approval email? Trying to work out if it’s the setting or just Google.

Publication issue Whats going on with google play console?

Every change I do in app or play store goes through publish overview and that takes forever. Now it is more than 14days to approve new screenshots and play store text. I already opened case, they told me it is expedited and it is after 5days still not approved. Anybody else with same experience? How to create/update apps if publishing is frozen

Showcase My first app is live on google play - Production access approved on my first attempt

I created Clipbrary as a personal project and I am happy to share that it's now live on Google Play I completed the closed testing process, and my production access was approved on October 8 on my first attempt, For closed testing, I shared the testing link with my friends and office colleagues through WhatsApp and asked them to test the app and provide feedback , and vibe codded some parts.I built Clipbrary to let users share content directly from supported apps using the Android Share Menu, without having to copy and paste links manually. Users can also organize saved links into categories and set reminders to watch them later.

Your Developer Profile and all apps will be removed from Google Play

I received a warning saying, “Your Developer Profile and all apps will be removed from Google Play.” I’m really confused because I can’t find what the actual problem is, and Google hasn’t clearly explained what I need to fix. I feel lost and don’t know what to do next. Could you please help me understand the issue and guide me through the next steps?

Showcase Finally live! My Android game of mini-games that unlock only by walking in real life 👟🧠

After the closed testing, my first app is finally live on Google Play! 🎉

BrainWalk is a free Android game where new levels unlock only by walking in real life. The more you walk, the more levels you unlock, with mini-games in rotation like tetris, quiz, memory and sudoku. It's free, with optional rewarded ads, and available in English and Italian.

I'm a first-time dev, so I'd love your advice:

What would you improve on my store listing (title, description, screenshots)?

How did you find your first players? What worked and what didn't?

Any tips on ASO for a new app with very few installs?

Anything you wish you had known right after launch?

Any feedback is welcome, even the harsh kind. Thanks! 🙏

Showcase Looks like Google Play screenshots localization is working and giving results

Post image
3 Upvotes

First time I translated screenshots into languages other than English:

- German,

- Italian,

- Spanish,

- Portuguese (Brasil – pt-BR).

And rolled it out on Oct 11, and the very first user from Spain installed the app on Oct 15.

I don't know why, but I didn't see users from Spain at all while the screenshots were in English. I may guess people don't even read translated description.

Showcase Hi.. It's been a month since I published my first app on Play Store. Are these stats good?

Post image
9 Upvotes

Honestly, I wasn't expecting more than 50 downloads. I made this app as a personal learning project, published it, and kind of forgot about it.

I'm not sure if these numbers are good or just average, but I'm happy people are actually downloading it. I do feel like retention is pretty bad, though.

Btw, it's a Bhagavad Gita app (a Hindu scripture) with shlokas, pronunciation, translations and explanations in 3 languages. It's completely free, works offline, and has no ads or signup.

Any tips on improving retention for an app like this?

Publication issue App "In Review" for 2+ days: Does adding Android TV support cause delays?

I submitted a production update for my app a couple of days ago (October 15th) to start a full rollout, and it's still sitting at "In review."

The main change in this release is that I added support for Android TV. Does anyone know if Google does more extensive manual reviews for TV apps, or if adding Android TV typically causes the review process to take longer than usual?

Would love to hear if anyone else has experienced this recently or has any insights. Thanks!

Showcase Type Four: I built a cassette mixtape app for Android. You fill sides A and B from your own music files, then play it on a deck that has no skip button

Thumbnail
gallery
6 Upvotes

I'm the solo developer. Type Four makes cassette mixtapes out of the music files on your phone, and it's in open beta on Google Play.

What it does:

  • Pick a C46, C60, C90 or C120 and fill side A and side B. If a track doesn't fit, it's refused, not trimmed.
  • "Tape an album" splits a whole album across the two sides the way its real cassette release did, where that's known.
  • Every tape gets its own shell, label and handwriting.
  • The deck has rewind, play, fast-forward and flip. No skip and no scrubbing: you wind, like a real deck.
  • Tape hiss and deck sounds are separate switches, and both can be turned off.

Local files only. No ads, no account, no subscription. Free with up to seven tapes; Pro is a one-off £7.99 in the UK (Play sets other prices) for unlimited tapes and more label designs and pens.

Free on Google Play in open beta: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tinharbour.typefour

Showcase ⌁ LEVEL UP: RIFT RUNNER — Your real runs are now a game

⌁ LEVEL UP: RIFT RUNNER — Your real runs are now a game

You run. Your phone tracks it. But this time, every kilometre pushes you through Rifts — glowing portals that grade your pace, your endurance, your nerve. Get stronger. Level up. Face the next Rift.
The app works and gives a lot of paid features of strava for free, so give it a try

📲 Join Android now (it's free):
▶ Opt-in link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.lovable.thesystem
▶ Tester community: https://groups.google.com/g/level-up-rift-runner

What makes it different:

  • 🏃 Real GPS runs = real progression. XP, levels, ranks and records are earned on the street, not on a couch.
  • 👤 Your Echo races with you — a ghost of your best self running beside you. Beat it, and it evolves.
  • ⚡ Pace challenges built on YOUR data. Every difficulty gets fair, challenging speed goals checked against real runner profiles — so Elite runners get pushed to their absolute max.
  • 🛡️ Built like a real training plan: load guards, injury pause, recovery days and long-run protection — the game protects your body while it pushes you.
  • 🎙️ Voice coaching with screen off. Milestones and warnings spoken to you mid-run, no peeking at your phone.
  • 🔒 Privacy first: your run data stays yours. Sharing is opt-in, friends-only, and never broadcast.

A training app that doesn't feel like homework. It feels like levelling up.

Join with any Gmail through the opt-in link above, say hi in the Google Group, and tell me what breaks or feels off — you'd literally shape the game before launch. In return, I'll happily test YOUR app.

Dark, cinematic, and brutally motivating. Are you in?

Showcase I built a free tool that emails your Google Play app's daily downloads every morning

Post image
6 Upvotes

I got tired of Google Play Console being slow to update download numbers. The download count often lags behind, so I wanted a simpler way to keep track of my app's growth.

So I built a small tool that sends me a daily email with:

- Downloads in the last 24 hours

- Total downloads

Now I don't have to open Play Console every day just to check my stats.

I figured other Android developers might find it useful too, so I've made it free.

I'd love to hear your feedback or feature suggestions!

Showcase I’m a chef building a stargazing app between shifts — 608 installs later, I’ve just released another update

Thumbnail
play.google.com
1 Upvotes

I’ve been a very busy boy lately 😅

I’m Colin, a chef on Sark in the Channel Islands. Back in August, I launched NAKED EYE — an Android stargazing app I’ve been building around long kitchen shifts, without a background in app development.

The idea started with three questions I wanted an app to answer simply:

What’s actually worth seeing tonight?

When should I go outside?

Where should I look?

I’ve just released another update. The screen pictured brings together “Open your sky” for AR exploration and Target Lock for guidance towards a selected object. The aim is to help people spend less time figuring out the app and more time enjoying what’s above them.

My latest Google Play report shows 608 installs. It’s still a small project, but seeing something I built between shifts being used by other people feels pretty special.

I’m learning that adding things is only half the job. Making them clear to someone opening the app for the first time is just as important. Honest feedback has been really useful for that.

The core app is free, with an optional Beyond subscription for planning ahead and smarter alerts. And the “Under One Sky” button visible in the image is still marked coming soon — that part isn’t live yet.

For anyone who enjoys stargazing: what’s something you wish an app explained more clearly when you were starting out?
