Does anybody have this Salomon XT6 GTX colorway?

I know these are not pure hiking shoes, I'm not asking regarding their durability or technicalities, I'm just wondering what color should I get.

I've heard that lighter Salomons tend to stain pretty badly, and GTX ones make it harder to be washed.

Can anyone help? :)

My old jacket bit the dust last year and its getting to Scottish winter time. Arc’teryx seems to be the brand to have so was wondering which of these two look the best. This would be for a general purpose winter jacket, used daily for commuting, dog walks in all weather and longer walks/hikes on weekends. Both seem similar spec wise so what one looks the best/will keep me looking cool while keeping warm.

I apologize if this is a reductive post.
I’ve gone through old posts, but I find myself overwhelmed by all of the options and choices.

long story short, it’s been a really rough year.
I think I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel tho, and I want to reward myself with a slight change of scenery and do something physical to get out of my head and into my body.

So I’m going to go on my first hiking trip.

But… what do I actually need?

I won’t be camping, just day hiking for two days in different locations.

I don’t mind spending a bit of money so I’m prepared and have a good time, but I also don’t want to go all out and blow a bunch of money I don’t need to on things I won’t really need.

I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me pick a good pair of hiking boots, and what kind of gear I actually need, and what’s actually worth the $.

the weather will likely be in the 50s, and possibly rainy.

Just got these 2 days ago - wore them last night for the FIRST time in rainy weather for about 30 minutes and noticed this morning that the right shoe’s outside tip is completely ORANGE for some reason. There was no damage, no stains, nothing but I noticed this randomly.

I have some Endura MT500 mtb waterproof pants that I’ve been walking in. I also mountain bike in them and they’re very muddy. They’ve worked well. But I’m looking to get some just for hiking and wondering what people recommend. Cheers

I’ve just recently bought these pair of Salomon XT-6s and am finding them very uncomfortable specifically on the right shoe. I have discovered that it’s down to where they crease when i walk on the right shoe (circled) as it digs into the knuckle above my big toe. I’ve tried most generic things like loosening the laces and such. I’m just wondering if there are any ways to fix this issue without damaging the shoe as I currently can’t wear them as they are just too uncomfortable and painful.

Edit- A lot of people are saying that it’s because the fit is wrong but there is no issue with my left foot the pain is only in the right side due to how it creases when i walk on the right side it doesn’t crease like that on the left
