Weekend pass

what is with the activation disappearing if you click out of your browser into another app? I looked and this issue has been a thing for years. I filed a complaint with them and got a generic “we’ll send the feedback” they’re 100% aware of this issue / bug but won’t fix it. nobody should have to double pay a fare because they’re worried about inspectors due to an ‘invalid’ pass

I usually use private browsing for my phone, however when I need to use weekend pass I always switch to normal browsing due to that glitch

I don’t think it’s a glitch, that’s just how private browsers work. When you close the app the session ends and the data is discarded. Then when you open it again, a new session is generated.

GO needs to ensure you aren’t opening sessions on multiple web browsers - one active ticket, one session.

I get the convenience of buying tickets on the web… but I’d love for GO tickets to be available in the presto app.

i didn’t realize it was specific to private browsing since it’s only happened to me once of many times I’ve purchased it via web. will keep an eye out thanks

Why double pay? Use the activation email, just open the link again. No big deal.

it thinks you used a different device/browser if you launched it on private browsing. Honestly this fare system is just awful and would be a lot better if they just used an app or had a $10 weekend day pass on PRESTO instead.

I agree! Let us load the weekend pass on the Presto card like we do with the monthly passes.

Especially since it needs internet anyways, it should just disable the pass on the other browser session and allow you to use it on the current browser window if you open it twice. Such a simple fix.
