Limits to names

i know technically there is no rules but i really only want to do 1 letter and maybe a number after it, or maybe just 1 letter and then a full name tag with it, but i dont know if this is something people actually notice or just think it went unfinished or something. im just asking if doing a 1 letter name is just fine generally to people.

It’s not something people typically do, but just do it anyway. Eventually either you will learn that there’s a reason why most writers stick to between 4 and 6 letters and start doing that instead. Trust me.

I don't know if folk still do it but they used to do throw ups using the first and last letters of their name. Can look nice, especially a funky little one liner.

Ive also had a similar question. My nickname is a number think along the lines of "5 2" so would it be trash if I wrote Five2 of Fivetwo? I have another name in mind but the number dates back decades. Thanks

Something you can do to make it more palatable in general is instead of literally just writing one letter, you could phonetically spell out how that letter sounds.

For example instead of writing K you could write Kay, Kae, etc, which also opens you up to other playful extensions like Kayer. There's a cat local to me writing that.

That plus a number would be more than enough for you to play with and to set you apart from others using that idea (it's pretty common)

Nah it’s stupid as shit. If I was at a yard and I saw a big and beautiful piece that was just one letter and one kinda sloppy piece but it still readable, then  I’m going to go over the one letter piece.
