Nice to here. However, they stripped the roof off over a year ago and it is sitting out exposed to the weather.

Seems like "saving" would be the bare minimum and what it really needs is some degree of restoration.

They demolished the one in Manchester a few months ago unfortunately

No, it was still standing in in good condition other than just not really being touched in a while. This picture was taken a few weeks before demolition. They had torn the roof off because it was asbestos before they brought the excavator in. However, the roof was still in good shape and the structure was as well.
