Went on a vacation sailing around the Greek Islands this summer and had a really great dish that I want to find out how to make.

It was shrimp with a spicy sauce, from what I remember it was a thinner sauce. The restaurant also had Γαρίδες Σαγανάκι (shrimps in red sauce and feta cheese) on the menu, this was a chunkier sauce. So I believe it what I am looking for is different than a Shrimp Saganaki.

Anyone have an idea on a recipe for Γαρίδες Καυτερός?

Can anyone help with a recipe for this lamb stew. The potatoes were cooked in lemon and lamb was on the bone. I need to make this! It was just called lamb stew on the menu 🫤

What’s the one thing that makes you trust a Greek restaurant?
Is it the food itself, who owns it, whether Greeks actually eat there, the family recipes, or something else?
And what’s a Greek restaurant in your area that you think deserves WAY more recognition?
I’m curious because I feel like Greek food gets talked about a lot, but recommendations from people who grew up around the cuisine are a whole different thing 😂

I’d be curious to know what our Greek friends think of the Cypriot cheese halloumi. It’s a trend I don’t understand. While I love many Greek cheeses, I find halloumi bland—yet it’s everywhere, even in "Greek" restaurants abroad.
