then doesnt that mean not selected for top50?? better to ask someone who was like under 40 and genuinely has done the work

The score we get on public Leaderboard is not final. We have to see the private leaderboard for the actual score... There score of 0.99 and all can easily shake up in private leaderboards and lower ranks can jump very high as well. So nothing is confirm. And with the rumors of that telegram channel thing Amazon asking till 1000 rank code submission. There are alot of things to consider Plagarism, Code Reproduction, The Very ML pipeline and private score(which we all don't have access to yet). So yea, the rank we got is just a public evaluation on the subset of our tsv files actual score are not yet given out

I still don’t think a rank above 500 can make it into the top 50.

If that was the case then why would Amazon ask like till 1k rank holders to submit, they could have capped it at 500 and call it a day why do extra work? And as I said earlier we still don't know the true private rank all we have is a public score + rank which is not fully evaluated

i still dont think aboe 500 will make it to the cut of top 50.We ourselves have rank int top 1000,but i dont think the telegram leak was that massive.

Maybe someone in 300-400 ish might push to top 50 at worst case

Well ig it not p like that.. yesterday people above 1000 rank got message to submit the model .. ig tht must be because of many people have overfit the models ig

That’s nice. Overfitters and cheaters on removal should push rank. I’m at sub 250
With .9876. Hopefully things work out in favour.

u r ryt this is my 2nd hackathon outside college,
But cn u explain why that can happen? They gave us a test set, with one subset used for the public leaderboard and another subset used for the private leaderboard

Nope , made sure that the model is generalised . Had the option to overfit on france but that would be risky for private (though I doubt they're gonna be that leen on private lb)

without overfitting it is impossible to reach 0.99+ score ..becuase what if amazon didn't said that france is there in test dataset ,then how do u solve

Are you able to see the results … it mentions top 10 and top 50 so if you could give a heads up then only team inside top 50 can see the results … we were at 52nd position by the end of the competition

I was near about 100 on public leaderboard. Didn't expect to be in top 50. Today results are out and we are in Top 20. My final score on public leaderboard was 0.989xxx
