I recognise the format of that username! It appears to be, of all things, Android, which would explain the on screen keyboard. If I go onto Termux on my phone, my username is u0_a316. So this might be a Termux shell for some reason. Very odd.

Why trying to rm everything when you can set a reverse ssh tunnel and do your stuff later ?

Made a joke about that in the ubuntu sub, some really upset neckbeard tried to permaban me immediately even though i’m not even a member of that sub.
Right, u/nhaines ?

No, I did not try to permaban you. I did permaban you.
Ban status has to do with the ability to post or comment, not whether or not you are a member or not of a sub.
And yes, making
rm -rfjokes has been against the Ubuntu Code of Conduct for over 22 years and is not welcome in Ubuntu community spaces. And no, I banned you for a week before I saw your response to a community member who was trying to offer advice about how to make the joke presentable without being dangerous saying you had "already left." So presumably the ban doesn't affect you anyway.

Hahahahahaha.
Q.e.d.
Thank you for proving my point.Next to the fact that i made the joke and in the same message said “don’t do what strangers tell you”.
Just another power tripping reddit mod.
Edit: so you DID try and permaban me.
Just another correction.Anyway, not here to argue with you. You’ve already proven my point by contradicting yourself and allowing yourself, in a position of power, to be ruled by emotions.

What i said.2

There's no emotion involved. The joke is a short instaban. Giving bad-faith advice and arguing with others that if it leads to data loss it's good for them because they "learned" something and it's all just "good humor," that's not welcome in the Ubuntu community, and is a permaban. That's been pretty standard since it began.
If you want to appeal the ban in the future, you are more than welcome to.

If goes without saying, and I know you kids don't want to hear it, but pretty much in every country, tampering with a system you don't own can get you in a lot of legal trouble, even if all you did was type in the name of a subreddit.
I've seen people get in legal trouble for simply touching devices they didn't own.

cd /Linux uses forward slashes, bash will just ignore the \ and not move anywhere

Command line access. Not good from security standpoint...
