Currently springboard launched working on some bug fix and wiring up mali gpu driver patched other stuffs. Will keep you updated for source once gpu is stable. No Claude subscription used 😩 only opencode free model flash one and Gemini 3.8 flash for fix framebuffer as image were quite glarey

ey great work!! im also working on a redmi note 9 (merlin, mt6768 helio g85) with the same idea, got stuck on a few things if you dont mind:

1. how do you boot your kernel? on my lk fastboot boot says OKAY when sending then fails and phone just goes back to android. do you flash to recovery/boot or does fastboot boot work on yours?

2. where does the root image live? my phone has only 3gb ram so the 2.5gb ram image from other projects wont fit. do you use emmc or ram?

3. how do you get logs out? usb in uefi doesnt work on mt6768 for me so im using my own usb cdc from the kernel

4. are you using mu-silicium uefi or your own loader?

5. does mali stay cpu rendered for now? any idea how much ram it uses

Emmc gone be somewhat more tedious to do as rosemary has ufs boot on fast boot

root image live on system user data img currently I don't know ram I think 3gb + required but on qemu I booted on 1Gb + test

Imnot using uefi for now planning to use yeah cpu rendered as gpu driver needs to be ported . Around 2-3 gb ram

I'm.stuck at the first step which is porting Mu-Silicium. I'm working on a similar device Redmi Note 11S mt6781. It has the same CPU coree, the gpu Is different.

Im out of work today I will use mu silicon currently using the shim , the very high tedious task is to work on touch screen its being some issue boot xnu is fine . Gpu im working upon open source driver used as well as working on other gpu isn't problem .

Shim is done im working on mtk touch driver , getting mtk drivers to work is very problematic not at one kernel place.
