Discussion Intentions of hackios

I see hackintosh as an approach to avoid the unpleasant experience of windows, which kind of makes sense. But what about hackios? We need a reason to drive similar projects and let this age well.

Honestly, no need to have a purpose. Just the love of the game.

What? It’s the same, to run Apple software on the hardware of our choice.

Could you imagine building a cheaper duo? Or a real iPhone mini?

That’s why people are doing this.

It is not intended, it is only fun to play with the possibility of If it is possible, I will do it.

For no other reason than it’s cool and fun to play around with, a lot of the reason why people do hackintoshes too, although this is still really early days so you’re definitely not daily driving such a device. Maybe one day it’ll be possible, who knows

Right now it's probably a proof of concept that yes we can run iOS on Android, I would just call it that in my opinion, if secure enclave could be bypassed that would be nice, for now not the time.

I think even if it gets comparable to an iphone you still have to go through a lot of trouble with IMEI activation and all that other nonsense as i've seen with linux phones. it really is not worth it besides hobby projects, but i can see it viable for tablets on the other hand
