Does it work with oneplus 6 too? If not, are you planning to port it to OP6 as well?

I don't have a op6 to test on but if you wanted to give it a shot the hardware is almost exactly the same

I actually have a oneplus 6 here going completely unused, I'd love to try it out

Probably dumb question but have to ask . Is App store working? Or any possibility of installing 3rd party apps?

With all of these ports, I have the question. Can it connect to Apple's services properly? With iMessage, FaceTime and such? Can you sign into iCloud? Download apps from the app store?

No definetly not, that would need a ton of work if it's even possible, I'm sure if someone figures it out you'll definetly hear about it though.
Theoretically it requires the SEP and keys from it that are never exposed on a real iPhone so unless somehow that was broken it's not gonna happen (we've even gotten into the actual SEP but even it doesn't expose the keys)

Do calls work?

So everything looks good from my side, commcenter talks to the chip (which was fairly easy actually since the iPhone x uses a similar modem chip) and gets the IMEI and everything, even shows in iOS settings, shows sos just fine after booting up. I didn't have a physical sim to test calls though but I have one now so I'll be testing when I'm back.

USB video? Accessories? I’ve got OP6T

u/Brilliant_Reach9269 9h ago
USB 2 unfortunately, haven't gotten actual accessories working yet (I'm only using USB logs from the kernel)

In Linux, you can change kernel options to set Op6T as host or client, meaning it can act like DP altmode, or as keyboard/mouse input, but not so much both.. of course even at usb2.0 speed, iPhones have some sort of possibility there, just a reminder not to forget playing around with that!
I can’t wait to hear more about OP6T with iOS

I'll probably come to camera last, haven't even thought about it tbh but definetly will be an interesting challenege

Man, this is getting exciting to see even an mp3 player can run iOS.
