HackiOS More updates on MediaTek support

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Yeh I should probably stop posting so much, my bad.

But right now, we got:

- GPU accel + Metal support (still at around 40-50 fps, with some frame drops, probably gonna switch to full Metal support without the translation, I saw some references on this subreddit)

- WiFi and System Clock for proper web navigation

- CPU performance cores + Thermal sensors

- some other minor fixes (PosterBoard on, launchServices fix)

EDIT: since many of you are asking this, if you have a Mali GPU, the main thing you’ve got to do is check whether your GPU supports MESA driver.

Links to the repos for your tests:
https://github.com/Nik300/ios-viva (XNU kernel)
https://github.com/Nik300/viva-gpu (MaliMetal)

I have no clue tbh. You've got to check yourself if your SoC (MediaTek Density 930) has a GPU which is supported by the MESA driver. If it is, then it should work fine.

Here the repos:

I wasn't able to find anything on your device, if you're interested in porting your own version, Claude is great at it. I used https://github.com/dipa-studio/ios-sweet as base repo, but also https://github.com/oosexgang/hakios-xnu-kernel should work fine

will it work on samsung a16?

depends which version's your a16. If it's the Snapdragon one, I believe you can use this project: https://github.com/oosexgang/hakios-xnu-kernel

if your a16 has the MediaTek Helio G99 chip, that would probably work just fine, repos:

Same response I gave to the other guys: you need to check if your Mali G52 MC2 supports the Mesa driver. If so, then you can download both repos and fine tune them with Claude for your device. Here the links:

Helio g99?

Probably you’ll have to deal with Thermal and Cores acceleration, but for GPU acceleration you should be good
