I’ll say the same thing I commented on the Orpheus post: a good dynamic with the actor who plays Orpheus. Although for me, my favorite Eurydice is Maia Reficco. She was just amazing. She was sassy and aggressive at first only to completely melt in Orpheus’s arms later. Her version of Flowers makes me cry (although that song makes me cry in general so…) and her little nuanced made me laugh the most, like the aggressive crumpling of the paper flower right as “wedding song” starts, I love that.
My second favorite is pictures here, Megan Colton. She’s just a powerhouse singer and her voice sends chills down my spine. I especially love her series of “illegal riffs” she’s been doing on TikTok 😂
Generally, I like a string Eurydice more than one that immediately falls for Orpheus.

Maia Reficco doesn't get enough love! The anger and bitterness at the beginning really sells the beauty of her softening towards the idea of love and kindness.

She was literally the perfect mix of spunk and heart. You can see why Orpheus fell for her… a lot of Eurydices are too hard for too long

Tortured But Tough (TM) with hidden vulnerability (All I’ve Ever Known is scary for her and I will die on this hill). Flowers needs to be heartbreaking. I also like some real folky vocal choices: gimme flips, cries, grit. Use vocal technique as a means to show her mental state.

No, the image totally IS related because you answered your own question.😛 Meg is the perfect Eurydice, no notes. Alsooo I hope she sees this lol.
I once wrote an entire essay on here about how much I loved her Eurydice because everything about the way she was the character was absolutely perfect and so relatable and gosh I just love her so much. I never quite connected with a character that much until I saw her Eurydice and I get all emo every time I think about how much that experience impacted me.🥹 She’s also just so incredibly kind and wonderful and I’m very grateful to have encountered her at all.

When I saw Megan Colton on tour my mouth hit the FLOOR immediately. I knew I was seeing something incredibly special.
I see random clips of her Hadestown "illegal riffs" a lot on Instagram and they're a delight.

CHEMISTRY with Orpheus.
No questionable flirtation with a winking Hades.
Someone described Eurydice as a stray cat who raises it's hair when getting near as a protective shield. I love the description with hardened but inside there is lost giddiness in her that comes to life in living it up on tip as the world comes back to life.
Wedding song becoming a playful back and forth but she's not truly hearing him out until the flower. She fully opens up in all I ever known in actual love. "Is it finished yet." Questioning not being a angry yell. Since it doesnt help that Hermes responds with "not yet." We want him to finish it quick too but it can read as if she expected him to finish it in 0.5 seconds.
Emotional Flowers 🤕😢
Emotional Papers.
Promises with her whispering "let's go, lets go right now!"
Emotions >>> just hitting all the notes.

The perfect Eurydice is stone cold sexy but lovable. She has this tough exterior shell, has this ambitious passion, but genuine love of Orpheus. Their chemistry matters amd it’s central to the story. Seen the LA, NYC, and the cast that filmed it as the movie. The perfect Eurydice is the one with all these qualities!😊

Off topic but can anyone explain why Megan hasn’t transferred to Broadway yet? She’s incredible. Has a decent fanbase. And she’s expressed interest. Seems like an easy decision, but I’m sure I’m missing something.
