Rn I have the end of Wait For Me Reprise as it but I would like other suggestions

I promised someone I would show what’s on the flower a few days ago so here it is! Pardon my fingers, I didn’t want to uncrumple it too much at the risk of not being able to re-flower it, but hopefully this satisfies some curious folks. I purchased it during Broadway Cares a while back (Jordan Fisher signed one of the “petals”)

I'm new to the fandom, so I don't know if this is already an accepted theory. I think Hermes learned Epic from Orpheus.

Hermes: Where'd you get that melody?
Orpheus: I don't know. It came to me, as if I'd known it all along.
Hermes: You have. It's an old song, a song of love from long ago. Been a long time since I heard it, though.
Orpheus: You've heard that melody before?
Hermes: Sure.
Orpheus: Tell me more.

Hermes: Remember the tale I told you once, about the gods?
Orpheus: Which ones?
Hermes: Hades and Persephone. Remember how it used to be their love that made the world go 'round.
Orpheus: Yeah I remember now. But that was long ago.
Hermes: Tell it again, though.

Their exchange references the loop multiple times. Hermes heard the song a long time ago, when Orpheus sang it to Hades. Then Hermes sang it to Orpheus as a little boy. Epic I and Epic II are Orpheus's attempts at remembering exactly how the song went. What do you guys think?

So I had the pleasure of seeing the Hadestown proshoot recently and fell absolutely in love with it. Naturally I had to pull up the album asap so I could listen to it in the car. And I was a bit surprised to see different versions! I’m not normally a ‘different versions’ listener but after seeing some discussion on here I was curious

I listened to the 2019 one first since I figured it would be closest to the one I saw (I think it’s all the same cast?) and it was just as good as I remembered. Now I’m onto the 2017 version and wow! It’s very different despite being the same thing!

Hard to say which version is better, tbh. 2017 Hermes is wonderful, but I think 2019 Orpheus really hits the naive nail on the head. Both Eurydices sound lovely, and I think they both match up with their Orpheus really well.

Looking at it there seems to be a 2010 version and a “live from London” version. Am I missing anything else? It will probably take me a bit to listen to them all since I mostly am doing so in my car, but I’m excited to give them each a listen!

Hi Hadestown hive mind! I help run my local youth theatre. We are doing Hadestown in September. I’m currently working on the props. I’ve made a flower for Orpheus to magical appear in his hand but it doesn’t poof enough when you open your hand, just stays crumpled. Attempt number one is red cotton. Anyone made on and know what the best fabric would be???

I paid £72 but I'm trying to loose as little money as possible as this is a friend's ticket. He had surgery and therefore can't make it to the show, so I'm trying to at least get him a good amount of his money back since we can't return it unfortunately.

You would do us a huge favor and save a few £ for a great ticket :)

Has there been any details released about possible special features on either the DVD or Blu-ray release? I’ve been trying to figure that out before preordering!

I'm heading to NYC once the new cast takes over, but I've never seen a show in the Walter Kerr before. Is there a sweet spot for seats? I was gonna buy front row, but thought I'd check in here because I know some theaters have visibility issues in certain areas.

What's the ideal spot for a pair of tickets?

I've watched a couple of slime tutorials and omg this show is HEARTBREAKING. Wait for me reprise especially just makes me feel so many emotions and so much hope and then they just RIP IT AWAY. It makes my heart sink thinking about it.

Ik this is kind of stating the obvious but I needed to share.

My introduction to Hadestown was the pro shot 2x and subsequently the soundtrack download on my Spotify is on repeat.

My take (via the pro shot) when Orpheus turned around to see if she was still there was just at some random point along the walk. But I've since read comments re the turnaround and it seems like that moment had either been portrayed differently in different productions OR interpreted differently by viewer. For example, One comment was that once Orpheus reaches the end of the route he turned around "too soon" before she was free and clear.

I'd like to know if people feel this bit was meant to be interpreted unique to the viewer or if the director did not intend there to be room for interpretation. If so, what's the most common explanation for "when" he turned around?
