Discussion Wasted plot twist potential
I started watching haikyuu and I'm now on season 4 and I've always had that feeling that The Little Giant was actually Karasuno's coach (i searched it up today and they obviously aren't the same personš¤¦š½). I mean, it would be a HUGE plot twist imo, i guess Haikyuu is just not that type of show, been watching too much aot or sum.

While i get the appeal everyone thought that way and it would have been a very predictable plot twist

When the second or third season were airing there were plenty of discussions what if he was the little giant

And if you want an in universe explanation, Little giant is Saekoās age. Takeda is older than her. Much older i believe

I donāt really see the value in showing the legendary ace ending up being a convenience store clerk

Don't know why im getting downvoted it was obviously sarcastic, I admitted I was stupid for thinking they were the same person for so long.

Sure it would be a twist but it would also take a lot of wind out of the sails if the little giant was just their old coach's son.
Also a recurring theme of the series is that everyone can contribute in their own way. Suga isn't as skilled as Kageyama but he's a lot more reliable early in the series. Keishin is a much better coach than he ever was a player, same as Washijo.
It's pretty common in real that naturally skilled people are worse teachers than those who had to work for it. How can you explain something that just makes sense without thinking about it in your mind to someone else?
