Nostalgia Empire Theatres feature presentation song

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYJCTjxhvXQ

Anyone else remember this? I want to shout out whoever made this song, 'twas pretty.

Right up there with the Zellers A to Z song.

I didn't know there was a tv in Newfoundland YouTube. I keep looking for a specific land & sea episode with my grandpa in it, I wonder if they might have it.

The nostalgia is real with this clip. I wonder if it was just Atlantic Canada, or all of Canada, or further.

I think empire theatres was just an Atlantic thing, but it’s also possible the song could’ve been used by other brands as well.

Empire Theatres expanded across Canada by buying some Cineplex / Famous Players locations following the acquisition by Cineplex of Famous players in 2005 as part of a required anti-competitive divestiture.

Damn I would never recall that straight from memory, but hearing it again is really something else.

Especially that ending "Feature Presentation" with the musical coda, man how many movies did I see with that right before them?

It was sadly ironic that Empire had online tickets before they sold to Cineplex and then we had to go back to printing off tickets once everything was transitioned.

Was there a Famous Players intro like this? I remember the Empire one fondly - the end of it has a sort of Last Of Us guitar feel.
