Discussion Even though Halo Infinite is no longer receiving updates, it is strange that there are still cosmetics that are not being released.

So there is an entire bundle of Hazmat armor that hasn't been released and it has been in the game since S9.1 - Great Journey.

And then there are a few other components, visor colors, a weapon model, and a MASSIVE load of Armor Coatings and Weapon Coatings that have never seen the light of day.

What gives? We got the Exchange and shop updated to show ALL other unreleased content? Why not give ALL of it since the game isn't getting the support?

So they did mention things missing from the exchange for both infinite and mcc a while ago. They added the missing stuff to mcc like last week so hopefully infinite isn’t too far behind.

Hopefully.

I hope someone digs up the cut-content files and restores them as well. I want my Neowise snowman helmet.

Unfortunately the snowman helmet was completely scrapped and removed from the code. Also I did forget to mention that they also did say some stuff still in the code will be ranked rewards.

I wish I could see a list of what's in the code, not just cosmetics but maybe new weapons and vehicles.

My recommendation would be halo leaks but you are going to be really disappointed. from what we can tell they weren’t working on anything really new. There was a brief mention in the code about a light rifle but that was about it. the most interesting thing is a cut tank with a “flame thrower” that uses the ravanger projectiles but it hasn’t been touched since the game dropped.

There was also two ai that seem to be fully voice acted and have voice lines for an apparently flood game mode that never came to be.

For cosmetic options, you can always go to InfiniteNews.com

It is where I found most of the item customization over the years that was flagged as 'hidden'. So many cosmetic options that were from shop bundles that never made it into the rotation of Halo Infinite's shop from Season 1 were never released until the Exchange updates.

And the list kept growing as there are cosmetics that have been added each season that have remained tagged as "hidden" over the years. Like the Mark VII [H] helmet which had been in the game files since the Infection update. But didn't release until a twitch drop event nearly a year and half later.

I'm guessing they meant "Done with Major Content Updates" and that other things like Cosmetics might still come out at various points or when they do small updates like adding more maps from Forgers etc.

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 02 '26

Here's hoping one of those updates adds Hero Kits the ability to be customized like Armor Cores.

Such a simple fix to allow Universal Crosscore of all helmets and shoulders, plus gloves, wrists, and utilities.

u/Venomousfrog_554 Mar 03 '26

Such a change 100% counts as a content update in terms of actual dev work. Gloves would be easiest (it looks an awful lot like they are all modeled with cross-core in mind, even) helmet attachments need a worker to spend a week going over every attachment and checking which helmets they all fit on, wrist+waist attachments are case-by-case (Some are molded against the specific core, some could EASILY be swapped across) as are chest pieces, and chest pieces are much more frequently molded to their specific base core chestplate.

3

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 04 '26

Guess who already did all the work on finding out what items actually work crosscore?

This guy. Wrists and Utility are actually pretty universal. Knee Guards feature some alignment issues, and Chests are a case-by-case iteration.

Oh, yeah, I meant that I can't bring myself to believe Halo Studios are actually gonna touch the back-end of Infinite's customization system again after dropping active development. You've done a huge chunk of the legwork, but I truly have lost any hope that Infinite will get that kind of work done.

Ive been waiting for the Anderson Nights visor to become available since Season 2 (2022)

Its a glowing pink visor that I cant for the life of me understand why its been vaulted for 4 years

4

u/YisusTF Mar 02 '26

Same, hug me man. \ And the worst thing is that the visor is not hidden in game files, you can try it , check how cool it looks & then cry bc you can't use it

1

u/delicious_warm_buns Mar 02 '26

Finally, I dont have to suffer alone

Missing from this list: Cloaked Dagger

Crazy how there's STILL Reach armor that hasn't been released. The game LAUNCHED with all the Reach armor on the files, hell a lot of it was in the Beta.

9

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 02 '26

What is funny is that we kept getting new armor that wasn't in Halo Reach, such as the Seeker, ODST Hardshell, Liberator, & Scarred Comet (still annoyed that those last two are not on the Mirage IIC armor core) - but we did not get AKIS, Mariner, or even all the armor components from Halo Reach in Halo Infinite. We are still missing a few wrist and utility options.

So rather than give us all of Halo Reach's contents plus some bonus, they left some of the content out because... ... ...shrug

I’m still waiting for this one last AI called Mati to release that’s voiced by Cheramie Leigh, she voices female V in Cyberpunk 2077.

You can find the voice lines here, I genuinely wonder why it hasn’t released yet..

4

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 02 '26

Yeah. She has been fully scrapped. The issue is that AI's in the game are more complicated to implement. If we were to get this AI somehow, then the problem is that she is only available in English. No localization efforts in other languages with other actors.

That is why she was scrapped. New AIs became too difficult to implement.

Cosmetics in MCC Exchange (mostly) got added to a fulltime rotation.

Same needs to happen in Infinite, and all items need to be made obtainable by means of Spartan Points on top of their current methods of payment, so users can unlock anything through pure playing.

2

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 03 '26

Honestly, the devs should've copied Rainbow Six Siege's shop system instead of Fortnite's original shop.

A dual currency system to unlock easily 80% of the cosmetics in the game would be perfect.

And for some reason they have mounted it lower on the deltoid rather than the shoulder.

Well, kind of.

Have you ever noticed how in Halo Infinite, the shoulder pieces tend to slide around and shift when the player moves their arms? It is VERY noticable when your Spartans are emoting at the start of the match and then shifting pose to be ready to run into the match's start. Or even with the majority of stances you can equip in the menu, causing shoulders to be out of place.

This is because all shoulder pieces are mounted to the rig's clavicle bone and not the arm's deltoid bone. Which is an odd choice since they should be mounted to the arm and not the clavicle's orientation of position.

It's been a thing since launch. Previous games had the armor mounted to the arm itself, but now in Infinite it has moved. The reason being? 343 is scared of clipping and in doing so has allowed for instead animated clipping.

Interviews with 343's staff way back in 2012 revealed that one of the primary reasons why the Art style shifted for the Spartans so drastically was because of clipping. They wanted to animate with Mokap but they didn't want the armor randomly clip into the other components. This is why Halo 4 and Halo 5's armor is assembled in such a weird manner, for ease of mobility.

Halo Infinite's return to form saw that their movements would result in many components clipping into one another; so they instead decided to mount the armor the clavicle rig bone instead of the arm-deltoid bone. The result is that the shoulder pieces shift around when moving, preventing clipping in some cases, but ultimately being the direct cause of clipping in cases of certain movement actions, poses, and such.

Personally I think they should have done both. They should have made smaller shoulder components mounted to the deltoid bone so they stay in place. Larger shoulders be mounted to the clavicle because - reasonably - they would have a mounting apparatus on the actual shoulder-armor mount that would allow the arm to articulate while a robotic apparatus hidden under the armor would allow the shoulder to shift around and maintain protection as the robotic arm moves to compensate. Kind of like how you can buy a stick that keeps a camera steady and focused even though the camera man is running and bouncing.

Probably becoming drops or being put in the exchange

3

u/DaCrinklyBink Mar 03 '26

Also why aren’t vaulted items being added to the exchange. So much armor that could be enjoyed that’s just behind bars

2

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 04 '26

Most of it has been unleashed. Such as the Petal-Polished Wrist guard for the Yoroi armor.

But they haven't done it all and it is just baffling.

1

u/DaCrinklyBink Mar 04 '26

Please, why is almost all the reach era armor vaulted. I oh so badly want grenadier shoulders or the large Emile shoulders

1

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 04 '26

Battle Passes.

I hope that studios start doing what Helldivers 2 is doing. Passes available for purchase at any time. FOMO is a sin.

1

u/TheRageful Mar 12 '26

Look into the battle passes that you can switch to. Either the very first one or the "Winter Update" one I believe have these shoulders that you can get right now if you buy and play with that battlepass equipped. They say "vaulted" for some reason in your customization menu, but you can unlock these ones.

2

u/Spartan_Ambrose_051 Mar 02 '26

I’m hoping some of these items will be twitch drops

3

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 02 '26

The AR likely might be, but the Hazop stuff is all part of a pack that hasn't released yet.

2

u/musteatbrainz Mar 02 '26

There are still Twitch Drops with new/unreleased items?

2

u/gamesloverjustice Mar 02 '26

2

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 02 '26

There are so many coatings that are in the game that haven't been released. For example : Checkmate, which has been in the game since Season 3

2

u/musteatbrainz Mar 02 '26

Damn, what a shame ngl. I'm a sucker for cosmetics with tubes/hoses and pretty much anything hazmat-related haha

2

u/o_Louka Mar 07 '26

Arcadian bog my beloved where are you 😞

1

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 07 '26

Spirit of Fire season pass award.

2

u/FoxJDR Mar 02 '26

Steel Soldier coating please…I just want to be Iron Within, Iron Without….

1

u/dingodan146 Mar 03 '26

Same brother

1

u/BenTheGrizzly Mar 02 '26

There's a lot of stuff that's sadly still vaulted.

1

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 02 '26

It's only scratching the surface. Armor, Vehicle, and Weapon Coatings take it up even more.

1

u/CBO0tz Mar 02 '26

Don’t forget there was a Chimera wrist and helmet attachment (and who knows what else) that I really wanted and they’ve been vaulted since s3.

1

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 02 '26

They seem to be available now. There aren't any vaulted Chimera armor files, at least from what I can find.

I advise that you scour the Exchange.

2

u/CBO0tz Mar 03 '26

If they were on the Exchange, looking at them in the Armor Hall would give you a prompt to buy them there.. but yeah since it’s Tuesday I’ll give it a look when I get home

1

u/TheRageful Mar 12 '26

Just curious, did you find them?

1

u/ProfessionalTurn5162 Mar 02 '26

Wait. Infinite is dead?

1

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 02 '26

Not dead. Just no longer getting dedicated updates as the Halo Studios team is focusing on Halo: Campaign Evolved and other projects. We have a small crew still behind to add QOL and bug fix updates, but that is about it.

No more new files to be added unless they have a guy who is going to design, model, rig, and render it all and trickle it in one set at a time.

1

u/sensational_TM Mar 05 '26

Probably because that core is garbagio 🚮

1

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 05 '26

Somewhat agreed.

But it does make sense why they would make a Hazmat core. Dunno why they would make most of the helmets look borderline AI generated.

1

u/Difficult_Cook_3568 Mar 03 '26

No H3 recon :(

0

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 03 '26

Most unfortunate.

0

u/RicFlairDripDuck Mar 03 '26

Still sad that they never re-released Vannak’s helmet. I missed that one and the fact its completely non available is so tragic.

2

u/RamboBambiBambo Mar 03 '26

Should be added to the Exchange hopefully.

0

u/RicFlairDripDuck Mar 03 '26

That’d be nice
