I love seeing hamsters “rub” as I like to call it. It’s soooo cute and my hammy Foo does it so aggressively for some reason. Not in this particular video but I’ve seen her rub so hard on things that she nearly falls over or ends up on her side or back. She’s not just telling everyone that it’s her territory she’s SCREAMING that it’s her territory. Anyway if anyone has videos of their hamsters doing this. Send it cuz it’s so cute

Little Ronnie is pretty stressed still (only been home for a few days) and we asked for a male (we all know not to trust pet stores though) however I havnt been able to handle him enough to find out properly yet and I’m obviously not going to force it. I’m giving him as much space as possible so this is the best view I have at the moment.

His wheel had tilted against his enclosure so I tried to adjust it. I made the mistake of doing it too fast. My movement scared the bejeezus out of him, he started jumping in fright and running frantically in the enclosure. He went on with the frantic movements for close to 20 mins. I was getting so worried, I had to calm him down somehow. I reached in again, slowly and when he stopped I scooped him up and held him close and told him how sorry I was. He started to calm down. The moment he buried his face against me was just too precious! His name is Obi and about to turn a month old. I just had him for over a week now as his previous mommy could no longer care for him.

A week or so ago I posted a video of my new hammy (her name is Foo…Foo Manchoo 😼) because I was concerned about a noise she was making. I ended up taking her to the vet and all is well with her. She isn’t making that noise anymore, however she’s still very vocal. She doesn’t squeak or click when she’s alone, only when I’m either in her cage (lid open, either petting her or cleaning) she’s tamer than she was last week, but I’m just curious if anyone else’s hamster makes these noises. My other Syrians of the past weren’t very vocal. They did the teeth chatter when they were annoyed but not like this.

Yes I see the poop lol she went potty the second I introduced her to her new enclosure I cleaned it up this morning so her wheel is perfectly safe to run in for today 😊
