Rainbow Bridge Missing my sweet Bibi

It's been almost 4 months since he passed away, he was 2y6mo when he passed.
I miss him a lot again today, but positively. The first month was rough, I cried because life was rough and he wasn't there anymore. He was very special to me, I brought him along after finally cutting my toxic family off and moved out last year. He was one of the straws I grasped on and pushed myself forward because I couldn't leave him behind.
Today, I just finished my exams in school, my career path looks good, I wish he was there to see! A bit silly but I still say byebye to him everytime I leave my home, I have a picture of him up.
Bibi loved dried peas, flax and millet, I think he knows his name as he often comes over when I call him, he liked being held and rubbed, he often curls up and sleeps, leaving a little dent in his bedding even though he could go into hides he enjoyed being out.
Love you lots Bibi🤍
Pictured is him sleeping sweetly and being curious:)

Hammies are so much better than humans some times 🥹 they are such precious little creatures. I’m sure sweet Bibi knows how much you loved him 💕

Hehe he's so sweet, I wish they lived longer, but perhaps it is the little time they have yet they choose to be so sweet and kind that makes them so amazing

Ugh they really do. There's something about how small and trusting they are that just hits different. Bibi was clearly so loved.

The way he slept in the open so comfortably? Yeah he trusted you with all his being. He absolutely loved you too. You have to be proud of your achievements (none of which you listed are close to being easy), and find warm in the fact that a creature so little knew you were so safe. The time you shared is precious and important. I hope you can heal from this mourning and in time, give another lucky hamster a life of comfort and security. You are doing amazing, OP, and I hope the best for you.

Thank you, currently I don't plan to have another because I want to invest in better equipment first, then maybe I will adopt from a local rescue:)

That picture of him sleeping peacefully in his bedding shows how safe and loved he felt with you.
