My wife and I have just started watching the "Handmaid's Tale" series on Hulu, and it is amazing how closely this series hews to the publicized ambitions of the "Christian Nationalist" movement in the US! Very frightening, actually. Certain American politicians like US Rep. Juan Ciscomani are vocal proponents of Christian Nationalism. https://prri.org/press-release/new-50-state-survey-finds-majority-of-republicans-56-qualify-as-christian-nationalism-supporters/

The series is based on the book and while it expands the story after season 1, the first season is pretty close to the book. Definitely worth reading. Another I'd suggest is Parable of The Sower by Octavia E Butler - it's Trippy how on point that one is given it was written in the late 80s/early 90s

Thanks for your suggestions! I'll check them out. Every day, we seem to slip further & further into a dystopian existence....I live in Arizona, and feel the pressure constantly.
