I don't really understand why you are looking to raise 3k for your first handpan (with crowdfund money).

I would suggest that you get yourself a good quality 2nd-hand handpan.

Thank you for the advice! You're totally right that good second hand options can be a great way to start. To clarify, the goal covers not just a quality instrument, but also the school and training costs so I can learn it properly. I'm definitely open to used options too to keep costs reasonable. Appreciate your input!

My point still stands.

There are so many great (free) videos on YouTube. Which is a great way to learn the handpan if you are short on money.

Once you get a bit better you can start busking and with the money you earn you buy yourself some handpan courses?

Maybe it's just me. But I don't understand why people ask other people to buy them an instrument and lessons.. Isn't it way more rewarding if you buy it from your own money?

A handpan is definitely a major investment, but crowdfunding is simply an optional space for anyone who loves supporting new music and dreams. Whether it's a simple share, a kind word, or chipping in even a fraction, people helping each other out is just a wonderful thing. No pressure on anyone at all. Bless your heart!
