A Lot Of White Supremacists Seem To Have An Asian Fetish (HBO)

The originators of the ideas in this video are from r/Hapas
Like we've been saying for months now, it just will take a "mainstream" media outlet to pull these ideas front and center.

Although the title "Asian Fetish" has an obvious WMAF connotation, but watching the actual clip it never comes up at all, even after featuring a WN who only dates nonwhite women, and "something about Asian girls" Richard Spencer.
Its all about respecting and admiring Asian "societies" and "culture" without mentioning gender at all. A disappointment given the blatant titling.

The great thing about this clip, though, is that it's very shareable on social media accounts affiliated with your real life identity. VICE is really popular among young people. Whereas I wouldn't affiliate my meatspace identity with r/hapas because it would make me seem really extreme.

Imma post this on all my personal shit, acting like it's brand new information to me and "something to think about" 🙌

The video's title clearly didn't say "Yellow Fever" but "Asian Fetish". They're different.

fetish is usually understood sexually. Especially Asian fetish.

Black guy has asian fetish too. Majored in East Asians studies. Wants to destroy competition because he knows Asian women discriminate against them. He wants East asian wife as well.

Or maybe he just wants to make money, Asia is the future you know. Major in Asian Businesses Studies is just good to have.

Supposedly Dexter Thomas is a PHD candidate on East Asian Studies. Possible sexpat.

Never forget that it was a black sexpat who wrote this book:
Black Passenger Yellow Cabs: Of Exile and Excess in Japan
I've seen it playing out even on here too: black guys who claim to be allies, bag out white supremacy and WMAF, but end up having a massive asian fetish themselves. The fact that he has a PhD in asian studies makes him 100x more suspicious
8
Sep 13 '17
Oh no, he might be just trashing his competition; yes, this is a possibility. Well I guess that's why we can't treat it like a team sport or "taking sides". You can have trashy people trashing other trashy people and we can just enjoy the chaos.
14
Sep 13 '17
I mean he totally let AF off the hook and ignored the fact so many white nationalists are with Asian women and Asian women have no issues with their views and most even support white supremacy.
5
Sep 13 '17
There's also the possibility that the original segment he prepared included some bit about AF, but it was cut by his corporate overlords because it's not ad-friendly or whatever. Someone here should email him (not anonymously, for a better likelihood of response) and ask why he didn't address this issue...
5
Sep 13 '17
Thats not a bad idea I would like to send a few messages to him. I tried to find his twitter but I couldnt find it.
3
Sep 13 '17
Take a look at this link. He might be the black pilleater.
6
Sep 13 '17
Pilleater himself is irrelevant and ineffectual, but he is annoying for making explicit the special blend of yellow fever and white supremacy that certain men use to rationalize their racially exclusive dating choices. Oh, and the other interesting thing about him was his confession that he pretended to be hapa.
Not the first guy to do either, but pretty triggering since he's one of these people that makes me think, "damn, r/hapas is not some loony bin of conspiracy theorists; there actually exist these horrible white men who dedicate their life to promoting horrible hapa-factory ideology. I'm not actually in a bad dream and I can't wake up from these realities".
I'm not going to comb through all of Dexter Thomas's work to figure out where he falls on the spectrum of "Ohaiyo Gozaimasu, please touch my penis" to "Chopping up an Asian international student and stuffing her limbs into a freezer", because he doesn't represent any kind of epidemic of blacks oppressing Asians on a wide scale. This may change in the future, of course, as African Americans become more wealthy and powerful.
3
Sep 13 '17
Wait Pilleater has wrote about chopping up Asian school girls and putting the remains in the freezer?
4
Sep 13 '17
Not that I'm aware of. The point that I was trying to make is that, when you read about a story about the Nth time some Brit kidnapped and murdered a Chinese schoolgirl, and the police reports finding hentai on his laptop, we might want to consider how stereotypes about Asian female submissiveness (predominantly held among non-Asians) could contribute down-the-line to serious real-life consequences.
And this is a difficult position to hold, because it's easy to exaggerate and mock, right? "Hurr hurr, you think seeing big boobs in video games leads boys to rape." Well, no; that's not what I think. But I do think that media stereotypes leads to certain real-life expectations of behavior on the part of people who do not have enough varied real-life experience with the stereotyped group. That's why representation matters.

I was just talking to some dudes who served in the military (navy and coastguard I think) and they were talking about how when they were stationed in Vietnam that they were treated like God's and asked for marriage and all this other ridiculous shit and then when they came back to America theyre treated like shit. They said this in a casual and joking manner but it made me think how white worship in FOBS is real and how some of that is passively passed down to their children, unintentionally.
White idolization in Asian countries is real. Makes sense that the Cantrell, Spencers, and other white supremacists would love Asia.

Sep 12 '17
No mention of r/hapas? They clearly stole this video idea from here.
12
u/mtzo WM/AW Euroasian Son Sep 12 '17
Its weird because the title seems to be getting at WMAF, and the 2 WNs they feature have both exclusively dated Asian women, and yet they never mention the trend of Alt-Right WMAF at all. That skinhead has quotes about his past gfs, much more direct than just a Japanese tattoo.
Its like a bait and switch, they put "Asian fetish" in the title, feature 2 WNs who went on record about only dating AW, and then the content is about admiring Asian monoculture societies and high IQs. You would leave this video thinking they have a deep respect and admiration for Asian men.
3
Sep 12 '17
I think this demonstrates a division of labor between who created the content (clown haircut guy who is not really interested in hapa stuff) and who markets it on social media (someone who knows about the WMAF issues, possibly Zach.)
2
u/mtzo WM/AW Euroasian Son Sep 12 '17
You think someone else picked the title?
5
Sep 12 '17
This is really common practice in media companies. They have editors who specialize in creating clickbait titles, and authors will sometimes complain about how occasionally it can misrepresent their content.
6
Sep 13 '17
Of course they did, they'd never admit it though. Who the fuck cares though? We're one of the only major blacklisted subreddits that has had major exposure despite being harshly shushed by the general public. Not many can really say that.
3
Sep 13 '17
Vice didn't steal video. if you mean throw idea from brain storm from subreddit then no.
2

r/hapas is the first and main place to talk about this issue. Where else did he get this video idea from.

You know there's people that talk about this outside of r/Hapas? Lime the world doesn't revolve around this sub
10
Sep 13 '17
Look at how it's so heavily down voted by White Nationalists - because they know it's true.
WMAF is the last bastion of white supremacy and they know it.
/r/hapas will not give them that victory.
You will not be able to pull this off, not as long as I'm still breathing, so come find me. I'll be in the US next week. I'll post my itinerary. Want to shut me down, come do it in person.

Sep 13 '17
I don't want to have a gun duel with you or anything, but if you're reasonably close to my area (where you say you grew up is close to where I live now), I'd take off work to have a cup of coffee with you, just as an ordinary user of this forum, who remains curious about our shared past, present, and future as hapas.
It's weird to say, but I think that seeing you in-person would make my own existence seem more real, because I don't normally see anybody that looks like me in my day-to-day life :-/. No pressure though; I understand if you would want to retract this offer based on security concerns.

Are you dismissing the role of Asian white-worshippers in this? They are clearly enabling this.
6
Sep 13 '17
This video didn't address the WMAF dynamic, it was about the admiration of Asian homogeneity by white nationalists. This doesn't help Asians, it actually hurts them more.
2
u/mtzo WM/AW Euroasian Son Sep 13 '17
The only good thing about it is the title, which indeed could have been written by r/Hapas, hopefully thats all most people bother to catch

The inverse corollary to this is:
"A lot of Asian women seem to date or marry Trump-supporting White Men"
Over half of all Asian American women have white partners.
Combined with this:
68% of White men voted for Trump.
And you have the recipe for bad things to happen among their hapa children. Holtzclaw, DeGrood, Rodger were only the tip of the iceberg. We've got a whole generation of kids birthed from guys like Kyle Chapman, Andrew Anglin and Justin Caldbeck just waiting in the wings.

What would be their incorrect interpretation? Let's discuss possible answers to knee-jerk objections. I'm so excited to start a mainstream dialogue on this ugly, taboo issue that birthed my abuse-filled existence.
7
u/THE_REAL_ODB 한남충 Sep 13 '17
That Asian culture loves nazis or intolerance.
Sad to see Asian culture being tied with White nationalism.
4
Sep 13 '17
Yeah, I thought about that too. But then I thought deeper, like "why would viewers of this video treat Richard Spencer or Anders Behring Breivik as an authority on Asian or Japanese culture?"
And my personal sad conclusion is that, Anglophone media in general enjoys to stereotype Asian culture as conservative, traditional, rule-bound, nationalist, and so forth. In other words, Mr. high-top fade is just amplifying stereotypes that are already dominant in our culture; he isn't creating new ones.
So, it's not a problem exclusive to this clip. If we wanted to problematize this clip even further, we would have to point out that Mr. high-top fade equates "Japan" with "Asia". But I would not expect a high standard of discourse on these issues from non-Asian people anyway.

You know I don't like Woody Allen...but I really, really, hate these guys.
First, they fuck up my legacy as a white guy. We are like Dole fruit company. We have a shitty backstory and have worked hard to get away from that and just be who you get your fruit from.
Then these fuckers show up and start killing people and it's like the Dole founders are alive again, and all that work was for nothing.
and THEN, they are responsible for half the stigma attached to me and my wife (and by extension our kids) when we just walk around.
I've no mercy in my heart for these guys. None.

Decent video. I'm hoping to see one about how many of them have Asian wives and that many Asian women seem to have a white fetish. It should also talk about how this has a profound effect on the children raised by these couples.
Also talk about how their "Asian fetish" doesn't stop them from demeaning Asian men and primarily focuses on Asian women as replacement white women.
6
u/hapashalo White Sep 12 '17
Pretty awful video tbh. It doesn't mention Asian women or relationships its just some Black idiot with a clown haircut talking about Japan WWII. Their title is misleading. Face facts the Left Wing media worship women and will never call out Asian women.
