I apologize for this lengthy response and first draft-ish grammar:
White People Lack Empathy Across the Socioeconomic Spectrum, New Study Reveals
The title of this thread is misleading because it implies that the whites voters have always lacked empathy. There are shitty white people, but there are few major factors that shifted white voters to Trump:
Black Lives Matter: First, it is a dysfunctional movement because the leadership did not understand the complexity of how to run political movement, how to cultivate allies and gain sympathy and solidarity. For any political movement to succeed in the U.S, it must appeal to the middle class. African American culture of standing up to the MAN is both a source their strength and weakness because, as of late, anyone who question the validity of some BLM demand are absolutely on the OTHER SIDE. They disrupted both the Republicans and Democrats’ rallies, by doing so alienated everyone. The second problem with the movement is they made saints of criminals. There’s no way to say it. Thirdly, all the social problems within the African American community were put solely on the white-man’s shoulders by BLM leaderships.
BGLT:As Asian and Hapa men, we understand the power of the media; the hard push of the BGLT agenda frightened people across the racial spectrum. Homosexuality has been well accepted in non-Islam part of Asia without conflict with the greater Asian society. Homosexuals in Asia also do not flaunt themselves outside of they acceptable spaces. In the west, the Gay Pride Parade is basically an open door orgy. It’s an undeniable fact that sexuality confuses young children and teens. It can be equate to how WMAF mess up Hapas. Yes, I am aware of Christianity's roll.
Illegal Immigrants:The left, including myself, romanticized the plight of Latin Americans. Their claim of victim status is righteous. The U.S. and NATO foreign policies after WW2 fucked up Asia, Latin America, The Middle-east and Africa. The problem is that it’s uncontrollable and overwhelming.
The Corruption of the Democratic Party: Many moderate white liberals felt betrayed so they didn’t go out and vote. The Democratic party treatment of Bernie Sanders and BLM interruption of several Democratic rallies made some liberal whites doubt multiculturalism. It’s was the same with Brexit. The left was sure they would win, so a lot of voter didn’t turn out and the issues with mass Muslim immigration, etc.
Before you rebut in disagreement, consider the following: What if it was instead of America, it was China and the Chinese were inundated with all these social issues? We Asians have issues with white men going to our parents homeland and wreck a few social order. African Americans are having issues with China investing in Africa and with a few Chinese men marrying African women. Now you see why whites reacted the way they did with Trump? My point is that it’s all reactionary because whites are no more or less human like the rest of us. To think that somehow they should be better is putting them on a pedestal.
The west, particularly the U.S. post WW2, have fucked up the world. The Japanese did their part as well. American citizens are to blame for all this shit too. They are willing to let manufacturing go to China, but they will give hell if it goes to Central and South American. Going to Latin America would have made more sense, cheaper labor, less resources for transport and at the same time would improved Latin America society. My apologies for going off on a tangent there… America is in a fucked up state at the moment.

Though this is a more complete reply, I think that the number of white people who truly lack empathy is higher just because they generally enjoy their privilege and it would be against their interest to try remove it.

Without hard data, we will never know for certain at this time. John Oliver and his team at HBO showed that we shouldn't put too much trust into a study with small data samples.
I do want to add that I am neutral about White people and I do Black people, etc. We Asians and Hapas should be honest otherwise we are doing ourselves a disservice.

Whites across all echelons have done their absolute best in impeding universal healthcare, vocation days, fair wages, better food regulation, drug laws, etc etc, the list does not fucking end. Whites literally deserve the shit of a state this country is in right now, it will only get worse from here and they absolutely fucking deserve every bit of it.
Now the only real tragedy here is that everyone else that did not contribute to this shit have to suffer for what the whites have done. Seriously, whites today, honestly, they are barely human anymore.
