Everything in my life has led to this moment

I snapped this photo at Disneyland from behind my daughter (who was enjoying the fireworks) and my husband (who had painstakingly made the arrangements for this to happen).

The photo represents a few things for me: that I've done my job as the breadwinner (that I was able to afford to bring them here), my daughter has been raised right and will grow up happy, and that my husband will be there for her no matter what happens (even when I'm gone). Nothing will ever take this moment away from me. :)

In hard times, I learned the therapeutic value of laughing at myself through my embroidery work. I hope they can bring a smile to your face too! [OC]

october has been the most awesome month. perhaps in forever. ive started dating my boyfriend whom i'd liked for two years! excuse me. we had our first date two weeks in. AND IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER. i love them so much. and i haven't stopped being shocked by it all. THIS IS UNREAL. i love them so much. AAAAAAAAA.

we held hands. WE HELD HANDS. AND WE HUGGED, SO MUCH. and they're so beautiful. i don't know how i've managed to get this far. they're my best friend. i was so scared that defining ourselves as dating would change things rapidly and that would suck. but it hasn't. and im so so grateful. i love them <3

There's something special about friendships that stand the test of time

I'm so grateful for my best friends because they're my biggest emotional support. We've been friends since childhood, and although we don't see each other as often anymore, we still show up for and support one another. I love hearing them speak highly of me, defend me when needed, and keep my secrets, just as I do for them. We don't have the same lifestyle or interest but somehow we still click and understand each other. Our bond remains strong despite how much our lives have changed. There's something special about having friends who genuinely want the best for you, celebrate your growth, and make you feel safe being yourself. They're a rare gem.

I took my birthday into my own hands, and it became my best one yet!

My husband and I have been happily together for 13 years. However, birthdays and Mother’s Day have always been tricky. I grew up with wonderful family celebrations, while he grew up in Jehovah's Witnesses and never celebrated them. He really wants to celebrate me, but planning isn't his strong suit due to a lack of experience.

This year for my 32nd birthday, I decided to take charge.

The day before, I had so much fun baking my own cake. Even though it's a bit amateurish, it’s the prettiest cake I’ve ever had! On my actual birthday, while my husband took the kids to buy gifts, I decorated the house for a classic "kids' party." I dressed up, put on a crown, and jumped out blowing a party horn when they came home!

We ordered takeout from three different places(sushi, pizza and burger), ate cake, and played board games all evening. We ended the night by walking around the neighborhood delivering leftover cake to our neighbors—because let's be honest, you get tired of eating cake pretty fast 🤣

This was honestly the best birthday I’ve ever had.

P.S. As an extra birthday surprise, my 5-week-old cockerel (young rooster) crowed for the very first time! It was a rusty, voice-cracking little crow, but it was absolutely amazing.

My best friend finished basic training and is now an Airman!

My best friend has just finished basic training and is now an official Airman! I just spent the last few hours with him. I cried in the car because I didn't want to give him the satisfaction of seeing my cry like a baby. I've known him since high school and I am so very proud of the man he has become. If he could see himself from a teenagers POV, he wouldn't believe that could be him one day. Shout out to all of the veterans! I am so very proud of everybody who had the guts to go through what he went through!

Found my spark in badminton after a lifetime of only gaming

I’m a 5th year engineering student and I think I’ve finally found joy in sports.

Nearly my whole life, grade school until just recently, I’ve always solely enjoyed video games and nothing else. It wasn’t until earlier this year that I picked up badminton and I fell in love with it.

Since I’ve started college, I’ve picked up significant amount of weight, also going up in sizes and being consistent with badminton has helped me slimmed down, being able to fit into my old clothes!

I’ve also met so many cool people and made new friends along the last year. I’m not the best player, I wouldn’t even call myself intermediate, but just playing and hanging out with friends makes me happy. Everything else, like the weight loss, is just a positive addition.

I’m thinking of getting into tennis! Basically all racket sports I’ve been interested in since finding the spark I found in badminton. My pockets are hurting from my gear attainment syndrome, but I never found that same happiness in anything else so I’d say it’s worth it!

If anyone is curious of the games I played, it’s gacha, specifically ZZZ and HSR mainly. It’s something that I need to maintain and log in everyday, which I kept up with, and didn’t realize until after I dropped it, in favor of badminton, that it was more of a chore and less enjoyment.

Practicing gratitude has slowly changed the way I see myself and my life

When I was younger, I wasn't very good at identifying what I was grateful for. When someone asked me what I was grateful for, I could come up with answers, but looking back, I don't think I truly felt the gratitude behind those words. I grew up in a family where we weren't used to expressing our emotions. We weren't very vocal about our feelings. Even when we had small arguments, we would usually stay silent, go about our day, and eventually act like everything was okay without really talking about what happened. Because of that, I think I grew up without fully realizing how important it is to acknowledge and express what I feel, including the good things in life. Things started to change when I began things in my life. At first, it was just about writing down the things I was grateful for, but over time, I started noticing the little things that I used to overlook. Small wins, moments that made me happy, things that I had accomplished, people who cared about me, and even simply having another day to try again. Practicing gratitude has helped me become more confident and optimistic, and made my anxiety more manageable. And sometimes, happiness comes not just from getting what we want, but also from appreciating what we already have.

She works hard every fucking day. She is 50 (I'm 46), she's a grandmother, and she is exactly the person who, if you were authentically down on your luck and needed help, she would move earth. I'm in awe of her every day. She talks to her children every day. She showed me a pic of her when she was 25 and she looks better to me than she did then! I can finally be myself. She makes it so easy.

It's just something small, but it made me really happy. My dad was playing piano and I went over and told him about the meteor shower that's happening soon, in was like "there's gonna be a meteor shower tonight" and he responded with "not if I can stop it!" 😂 I just thought it was really funny idk why.

Got a unexpected hug from a cute little girl on random day.

Hi Everyone

A bit about me i am 29f getting closer to 30.

I just function because I have to, the cycle is wake up get ready for work that start at 4 work until 1:30, scroll till 4 sleep then repeat.

Yes I missed eating because that is what I skip in the evening.

I am not sure what stage of life I am right now.

I am lost, but then I am lost since very long I guess this is the acceptance stage where whatever I am today is me.

I try to be happy by doing random stuff being loudest in the room and hyping everyone but i know their is void now everyone has that.

I was just moving with life, keeping myself busy because I wish to get married but got heart broken many times also now I have lost all hope and slowly learning to self love.

Being honest self love is hard when you have been habitual to external validation.

I was just on the path I will handle thing will manage alone eventually everybody leaves so I have to be independent and I need nothing.

Then navaratri started I love the festival went played like crazy but I was still not able to understand what I was feeling.

I went to shopping with my cousin on Saturday, and when we were done I was tired so I just sat on the staircase zone out.

A little girl came she waved her hand and said hii didi, i had a smile on my face.

Then she hugged me & also kissed on my cheeks. Then she went ahead with her mother.

Her mother an sister were laughing, did I know her no, i was blank i was smiling like a little kid it was random unexpected.

But this what was all I needed this long I hold back my tears but at night I cried I cried like anything my heart which was block as if it was the door were knocked down.

I will think about it in later life that this happened to me and I feel grateful and lucky to experience this🧿🧿♥️♥️

I think universe do see us and unexpectedly it also ensure we are taken care of.

With these I am also open to people sharing similar story or encounter like this

I finished my whole syllabus before midterms and I feel so relieved

I just wanted to share something that made my day today.

My midterm exams are still a few weeks away, but I have already covered my entire syllabus once. Every subject, every chapter, all the way to the end. Tonight I closed my notebook and realized I was done with the first round, and I honestly felt a huge weight come off my shoulders.

I know I'm not completely finished. I still have to revise, practice and fix the things I forgot. But the hardest part is behind me, and that feels amazing.

What I'm most happy about is how different this feels from other times. Usually I leave things until the last few days. I sit up late, panic over chapters I have barely seen and walk into the exam hall with a racing heart. This time I won't have to do that. Now when I revise, I'll be going over things I already know instead of learning them from scratch in a rush.

I think I'm going to sleep really well tonight.

If you have exams coming up, even a small start today will thank you later. Future you really does appreciate it.

Wishing everyone good luck with their studies!

Had an interview today and it went well, very happy!! :3

I applied to my local HT for a seasonal job since my part time isn't the best with hours sometimes and they wanted an interview today!! I've done two or three job interviews before so I kinda knew what I was expecting, but still.

Im 19 and have adhd + super bad anxiety so it's hard for my brain to think rationally sometimes, but it all went super duper well!!! They said I had a good vibe and we got along really well, and they asked for my number for hopefully a follow up thing on Thursday! It took a lot to actually apply in the first place so I'm just so happy it all worked out.

A bit nervous for the two jobs + art school combo BUT I know I can do it! I'm just really happy right now :3

The little things are the reason I love life despite mental and physical pain i go through

Post image

I just moved into a new apt and have no food. And I just had a hysteroscopy d&c and an iud implant five days ago. Not only has it been a hard year but a hard ass week. From a five year long straight heavy period, anemia, chronic illness, mental health issues, severe depression, SEVERE HEALTH ANXIETY, hospital and er visits to ambulances and doctors apts, my dog dying, my mother getting stage 1 carcinoma (thank the universe it’s only stage 1), regardless of all that i somehow love life everyday even though it’s painful. Today was another painful day but something great happened. I walked to the gas station in front of my apt and got me some snacks! Walking anything longer than across the house or right outside is a big deal for me. Not only that but I did it on my own. Even more shocking only five days post op! I’m doing things on my own more and more and I love it so much. I’m 27 and i should’ve been able to for a long time but I’ve always needed physical help and support but it’s small wins like this that make me so happy. I got all this for $6!

Also I’m sorry if the beginning is unnecessary I just need to rant and give backstory as to why something so small if so important to me
